I tried to get my character to marry Camilla, but I have no option of interacting with her after returning the Golden Claw. I was told that if you return it to her instead of the guy behind the counter it becomes possible, but the game didn't even give me THAT option.

That being said, who's excited for mounted combat? It's on the 1.6 update.

"Need something?"

I married Camilla from the trader in Riverwood...she keeps going on about how its nice that the golden claw is back.

I finally manged to get the Amulet forged so could clear it out of my inventory. I finally got my hands on some guard armour and a helmet but had to cause a bit of mayhem to get it. It wasn't stealing..he was already dead when I took it.

I now have a horse but don;t tend to use it too much as I can't work out how to get off it other than go to a town with a stable that said it tends to follow me round even if I fast travel.

The last update over the internet seems to have dealt with some of the glitches but there are still one or two missions that won't complete even when I do the tasks.
I may have to marry her if I roll another character. What can I say? I like the small town atmosphere.

Horses are irritating. The only really good one is Shadowmere. And that's because she can take a beating.

THIS GUY!

Horse archery is a new love of mine. I'm still getting the hang of it, but it's quite fun.

I have issue with the first dragon i killed in whiterun. Its corpse keep falling out of nowhere and its annoying, like when i had to jump over it just to enter town =x
I can only say...Welcome to Skyrim!!
:D

And, have some mead.

Fireball it, and it should go flying away.

"Those imperials they think they can come here with their laws!"

I just got shadowmere but don't use her too much as I find horse back fighting awkward and you cant get off adn check their gear out or retrieve arrows.

the book keeper at the college of mages still sends me on jobs to find book and he is not even grateful for it that and dealing with magic problems that crop up now and again.

I haven't had the bones appearing but have had a few dragons where I don't get their souls for some reason. That said I still have missions I cant get rid off. I have a wedding ring of a bandit chief I killed and it still tells me to go back to her...which I can't as she is dead and I have tried. I still get the guy at the stables who sticks out of a wall and has a twin brother standing next to him.

Now I have a complete set of guard armour a shield maybe I'll dress as one and see what happens though I think the tail might give me away.

I played my mage for a while before realizing the true usefulness of fireball. Now I live by it!

fully agree, it stuns them enough time for me to cast another

just that the fireball is useless towards that big corpse :D

A few things:
-A mammoth corpse dropped in on me when I got to a certain mine.
-Not too long after that, I was unable to fast travel. When I did, I got a nice Crash to Desktop.
-Since I couldn't fast travel, I tried just plain old slow travel to get to Markarth and when I get within sight...Crash to Desktop.
So that Wood Elf never quite got the Dragon Scale armor she had been saving up for. Oh well.

So I rolled another character!
A female Nord (I used the default appearance since it was close to my image of a typical Nord woman) Heavy Armor swinging a mace and a dagger in the offhand. NO archery on this one! That's my big handicap. My very favorite thing is a bow in games like this, so for me to go without one is strange feeling indeed. I will be doing some smithing, but nothing too crazy. No enchanting and very little alchemy. And almost no magic. It's unwieldy to use magic with mismatched dual-weapons anyway. So I'll be relying heavily on food and healing potions.

I discovered something very cool. You can have Sven from Riverwood as a companion! I liked Feindal so much, I never thought to do his quest the other way. I'm not giving Sven any armor and only a basic sword. He's basically my Boy Toy pack mule.
I'll be dressing him up in the lastest Bard Fashions as soon as I get some coin...or find some nice threads lying around.

This playthru should be fun. Will be hitting Bleakfalls Barrow soon. I never get tired of the early part of Skyrim. And THAT is what makes Skryim great. Never gets boring.

"What do you want cat?"

Do you prefer to play first or third person most of the time? I generally play first person but change to third when I can't work out where I'm being hit from or when I absorb a dragon soul, I like the effect of it.
"Stay sharp."

I'm the exact same. I go into third for just a second to see the dragon soul effect...then right back to first. The third person view seems off to me somehow. I have a lot of trouble fighting like that. It does work well when you're on horseback shooting arrows!

I use first person for using my bow, and switch between first and third depending on the combat situation. If I am surrounded by enemies, I use third person so I can see where everyone is and block incoming attacks. I also fight dragons in third person for the most part. When fighting a single enemy, I can use either, but sometimes I find that first person is more effective for blocking.

I'm making my way in the world as an alchemist. I've been earning enough to eat and rent a room each nght, but not much more. This character is doing the "non-adventure" thing.

what happens if someone attacks you? how good can you defend yourself?

Not good.

I run away whenever I can. I avoid dangerous encounters, but I saved up enough money to buy a sword for protection when I am out gathering herbs. I followed a couple of Redguard soldiers when I was travelling from Windhelm to Whiterun. That worked out good, because when the wolves attacked, the soldiers killed them. Then I skinned the wolves, I should help out a little bit when I can. If it's not too dangerous. They kept talking about some Redguard woman, it was a little annoying to be honest, but I didn't tell them that. Maybe if I see a Redguard woman, I'll let them know. Since they saved my life. I don't know though, they weren't very nice to that other woman. I think I'll just mind my own beeswax.

I found some dead soldiers and took their armor. That helps some too. I was kind of mad when I found them though, because they had swords and I had just paid a lot for mine. The merchants charge me a lot more for stuff than they give me for the odds and ends I bring in. It's not a fair system, they're always sticking it to the little guy.

I heard there are dragons around, but other than the one I saw during my "imperial entanglement" I haven't seen any and I don't want to. I barely survived the first one, on the other hand I made a friend there. I followed him out while he killed all of the Stormcloaks. Then I ran in the other direction. I'm staying out of this war. People keep talking about a Bard's College. Maybe I'll check that out. Sitting in a bar with Lute sounds like a safe way to earn a living. I hope those Redguards are planning to go to Solitude.
