They have a mod for oblivion like that, moe I think. I imagine they'll do the same. I like the option of using the fruit and stuff I find for something other than a fatigue potion :p

I have a mod called vim&vigor

allows you to "eat potions" :D

I already deleted and reinstalled :p It's was bad, I had two body mods conflicting. HGEC and Exnem. I must be one of the only people who doesn't use the nude mod function :p
Anybody who wants to see naked Oblivion characters has a problem

Some of the faces look bad enough; I'd hate to see their more sensitive parts :swoon:

Nah what these mods do is allow me to use my day walker race :3 Looks cleaner. I use the underwear though. I think that may be the problem. They work more on making these huge breasted characters and less on well the other stuff. It messed with the npc eyes so it may be something else ...

editing the facial and texture parts of oblivion characters makes me go "by the nine divines!" :p

Sooo many mods. Wow- some of these are really good. I'm lost in oblivion again...
Heh, I've been tempted lately to pick up Oblivion again so I can actually have something to satisfy me temporarily until Skyrim comes out.

Speaking of Skyrim, I have a very awesome bit of information you will all want to see. There are no official "classes" that you choose, you simply play, and level up whatever skills you are using, but that would eventually cause you to call your character a certain type of fighter, such as warrior, etc. So, concerning that, here is some information about each basic "class" that will make some of you jump with joy.

This post comes from forum user Gaenor at http://forums.theelderscrollsskyrim.com. I edited out some minor language.

Warriors

images

  • Back pedal speed has been reduced to eliminate "hit & run" tactics.
  • Stagger and balance have been added to create more dangerous attacks.
  • Simply holding up a shield is useless. You now need to time your blocks. You can also pull off a shield bash to stagger opponents. Can be attempted with two-handed weapons as well, but at a greater risk.
  • Flourish attacks appear for skillful kills, giving you a nice visual treat as you execute an enemy.
  • Some revealed combat Perks are critical strikes (swords), bleeding status (axes) and armor negation (maces).
In short, Warrior combat has been given a lot more dimension. There's more risk taken in each fight and most of all, it will be more fun killing your opponents!

Archers

  • Ranged combat makes arrows capable of higher damage, but also harder to find.
  • Just one shot can potentially destroy an enemy, but you may only have one shot to make.
  • Now you cant just run backwards and shoot your enemy, again, back pedal speed has been reduced, AND drawing your bow and aiming your shot takes significantly longer.
As you can see, ranged combat now seems to rely heavily on stealthy characters if you're on your own. Aim good and remain stealth to improve your chance of surviving.

Mages

images

  • [*]Magic in Skyrim will be inspired by BioShock's Plasmids xD.
[*]Magic and melee will be kept distinctly separate. You can have a magic spell in one hand and a sword in the other, but you can't just crack off fireballs while hack n' slashing.
[*]Although the Mysticism school of magic has been removed and consumed by the other schools, each spell in the game is more flexible. You don't just shoot projectiles this time -- you can hold down the fire button for a stream of magic, place them down as traps, or dual-wield them for extra damage.
[*]It could be possible that you can meld spells together for unique effects, but I've seen sources that confirm you can as well as sources who confirm that you can't... Bethesda hasn't decided yet when people asked yet, but now they have, only no one knows what exactly...
[*]Each spell has been individually crafted, so you won't just get aesthetically different spells that act in exactly the same way. There is a possibility you'll be able to meld spells together to create new effects, but Bethesda has not yet decided.
This time fights between mages will be similar to melee combat, where timing and skill is more important than throwing out fireballs and seeing who wins, it is very different compared to Morrowind and Oblivion... in a GOOD way. :)

Assassins

images

  • Stealth in Skyrim is a little deeper. Enemies don't suddenly move from passive to aggressive. There is now an interim "Alert" phase, so you'll have a chance to hide again and wait for them to forget about you.
  • Back attacks with daggers are highly dangerous, and a range of dagger Perks will lead to some truly bad[edit] assassins running around.
  • Dagger Sneak-attacks deal up to 15 times base-damage!
  • Remember that ranged attacks have the potential to be very lethal, but remain hidden!
  • One dose of poison can have effect upon multiple strikes, and one of the perks doubles this amount.
  • Sadly enough, no "prince of Persia" or "Assassins creed"-like movement... XD but that is my opinion.
...Assassination feels more like assassination than ever before, in TES, kick-[edit] sneak bonuses, easier hiding, bows with lethal potential, we have been blessed by the Nightmother : D

I am soooooo buying that when it comes out. *drools* still, loading up mods *gripes* takes soooooooo long
Lol... Keep at it.

I already have half of the money put down on a pre-order for Skyrim at a local video game shop. They do some pretty awesome midnight releases, so I get the game literally the hour it's supposed to be launched for sale in my area.

iv only ever played oblivion are vampires a staple of the serise or are they only in the last game? if ther in multiple games can you get turned in more then oblivion? if so was ther alwys a way to change back?
Vampires have been confirmed for Skyrim. Details are sketchy right now though. We just know that they'll be there. I personally hope that they are implemented better, because if you were turned into a vampire in Oblivion, it was REALLY annoying to fast travel somewhere, only to arrive dead, because of the stupid sunlight.

There should be a way to rectify this, at least by informing the player of exactly how much time the fast travel will take, so you can be aware of whether or not it will be light out.

And yes, in Oblivion there was a way to be cured of Vampirism after it took effect. I don't know exactly what the cure was, but it was there. I know that if you were inftected with Porphyric Hemophilia, you could go to an altar to have all of your diseases removed and be fine. If you didn't do it in time, you'd become a vamp, and I believe that the process of getting turned back to normal was more complicated than stopping by your local church.

I'm totally down for becoming a vampire if they are implemented well in Skyrim. I just didn't like the stress of managing it in Oblivion. I can understand having to avoid daylight, but don't make fast traveling impossible, know what I mean?

All that being said, vampires are awesome (Angel FTW!).
