Ok, so I want to know what skills every guy should know. This is physical skills I am talking about. Sharing feelings, crying, blah blah blah is not what this is about. I am talking physical skills.

For example:

Every man should be able to:

Sharpen a knife.

Build a fire.

Throw a football.

Ride a bicycle.


You get the point. So, what are some other skills that every man should know and pass along to his offspring?

They should be able to kill spiders, fix computers, program vcrs, hold a woman until she stops crying, and scrub toilets

most basic skills I think both sexes should know how to do...shouldnt they?

Basic plumbing skills. I don't mean anything super serious but how snake a drain, repair a leaky faucet, etc.

How to paint a room including prep such as patching holes, taping off trim, etc.

Basic drywall skills - like patching a large hole and how to use tape and mud, etc.

I think i did, B4A, but it has been a while and i was bored.... been out of work the past 2 days (and tomorrow) because of the weather.

Guys should be able to locate, kill, butcher, and cook dinner.

Open a can without a modern can opener.

Chop wood.

Speak another language

Ride a motorcycle/atv

Climb a tree

how do you do that?

My dad has a can opener on his key ring that was issued to him in the Army almost 40 yrs ago. It's just a curved, pointed piece of metal.

Probably with a pocket knife. It's fairly easy with a sharp knife.
