I wanted to share a bit about the status of those site supporters that had become a site supporter WITH a Paypal subscription payment (where it is charged automatically) prior to my arrival. The way Erwin and I are handling this is that when you payment comes through to the old Paypal account, Erwin will then cancel your subscription through that Paypal account. You then will need to come back to CF and restart your subscription at your desired support status level (click here). If you have any questions feel free to PM me!

Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm not understanding this at all.
So if my site supporter status went into effect in August (before Lee got here) and renews in November, and I renew with my PayPal account where it is automatic, it is going to be cancelled and I am going to have to sign up again?

I understood this to be for those who have their support set up to recur automatically, not for those of us who manually donate.Mine is active yet til Nov 08.

This only affects those who have set up their Site Supporter Status to renew AUTOMATICALLY through the account that Erwin set-up. When your subscription comes up for automatic renewal Erwin will CANCEL it before it goes through... Then you will have to come here and re-sign up for your subscription so that the money is transferred to the account that Lee has set-up.
I hope this makes sense... As some have stated this ONLY applies to those who have AUTOMATIC RENEWAL on their site supporter status through a PAY PAL account...
Those who renew manually will do the same as they always have but it will now go to Lee's account and not the one Erwin was in charge of...
