No idea what this thread is all about. Looking at the title, it reminds me of some stuff I came across of some countries like China which has certain traditions on matchmaking for singles in order to find a partner.

From the video below, you can find some interesting methods for single people to battle with the pressure put on them by their parents. They can even rent a boyfriend or girlfriend to do certain specific things or go specific places at a price stated. They also have desperate parents who desperately trying to find a partner for their children that they will go to the extent of putting up ads to promote their children. Besides China, some of these methods are also a practice in Japan and India. I wonder if singledom is a blessing or a disaster to some people who think it may be.

If you are looking for a partner, would you go for something like matchmaking if you have the chance to do so?
