Hmmm...I might need to embarrass my boys and decide to chaperone their Jr High dances - no grinding allowed!!

I would,the way Jr. High school students are anymore, I would be very very cautious. You probably raised them right but that doesn't always mean they won't do something stupid.

I just hope if I ever have kids that I won't freak out about it too much. If I ever have a daughter I'm already planning on purchasing a shotgun. And I've never felt the need to have a gun before in my life.

BTW because of the nature of shotguns the pellets can't be traced back to the individual weapon unlike most other firearms?

I know my kids will make mistakes - and hopefully learn from them - and hopefully not make any that they cannot recover from. However, I also place a large amount of their future in God's hands and pray for His guidance and presence in their lives. I can only teach them so much (I'm their mom, after all) and I can't always be there to protect them.

I will hopefully be successful in teaching them to respect themselves and the girls that they like enough not to make adult choices before they are ready for the implications that they often bring. After that, I can only pray that they will stop themselves before a situation gets out of control.

And that could easily be applied to anything from peer pressure to sex to drugs/alcohol.

Yeah I know, isn't it scary? The guy I share my office with was telling me about what he did with his daughter.

Apparently not only when he met the boy that she was going out with (as a teenager) would he be cleaning his shotgun but he would also apparently put spent shotgun shells on the mantle and hang index cards under them with common male names on them. "Mark" "John" etc.

Could we get back to flirting now???

The one thing I've always wanted to do if I had a girl was the whole Will Smith scene from Bad Boys 2 where he comes to the door of Martin's house to basically scare straight the teenage guy who's about to take out Martin's daughter... perfect scene lol.

The men's pastor at my last church had two standard instructions/threats for boyfriends, but I'm not able to repeat one of them here!

The other one:
