Jesus clearly defines marriage in Matthew Chapter 19. No need to tell people what marriage isnt when you tell them what it is or to keep telling people what sin is either when He clearly said the law had not passed away.

The law was given for the knowledge of sin and declares us all guilty before god. Homosexual relations are sin. If one is not repentant of it - they are still in that sin.

As to your bolded comment - Its hard to fathom with comments like that how anyone would be able to accuse anyone of bashing anything.
Racists happily used the bible to protest the legalization of interracial marriage…were they just wrong?

Hey if you feel good personally attacking people like I told lynn, then have a nice day. I am all for making someone feel better about themselves and if thats what it takes so be it.
And do you feel good attacking our gay and lesbian brothers and sisters?
Remember though as Jesus said - do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
Do you really believe you are following Jesus here?

Yes they were wrong if they did that. What verses did they use? You can certainly start a new thread and ill be more than happy to discuss that issue with you. Start by posting the verses they used and we will explore them. Lets not take this thread off topic ok.

Saying that the bible calls it is an attack? Hardly. I havent attacked anyone. Do you feel good bearing false witness?

Do you really believe you are following Jesus here?
Yes. If I didnt I wouldnt be here-I would let those who fall into the pit by upholding sin conditions fall in their sin by witholding the truth instead.

You have a long history of ignoring such posts. Why would you not ignore them now?
You are in error. Can you show evidence of that? Link to the posts where ive ignored them in threads on the topic I was in. If not - you may retract your false statement.

Yes they were..The interracial marriages weren't permitted in the bible because with different races, came different religious beliefs contrary to the truth....It wasnt about color..

Suicide? That's their problem for being weak and sinful like everyone else outside of Christ. The truth is, they've gotten there too soon.

Thus the claim the antigay faction acts out of love is clearly disproved.

we have to remember His [Jesus'] harsh rebukes including at the moneychangers on the temple grounds where He got physically animated with a whip, overturning tables in anger & zeal.

Right! Anger at the forces of power and control, not at an oppressed minority.

Just to clarify that Jesus' nature wasn't all flower power & peace signs.

True: he was much more like Harvey Milk than the little old Quaker ladies at the peace marches.

'Arsenokoites'
1 Corinthians 6:9‑10;
Know ye not,
that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God?
Be not deceived,
neither fornicatiors, nor idolaters,
nor adulterers, nor effeminate,
nor abusers of themselves with mankind.
Nor thieves, nor covetous,
nor drunkards, nor revilers,
nor extortioners,
shall inherit the kingdom of God."
"abusers of themselves with mankind"
is the Greek word
"Arsenokoites"
Dakes' Annotated reference Bible indicates the word means...
"One guilty of unnatural offences, a sodomite, homosexual, sex pervert"
1 Timothy 1:9‑10
"Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man,
but for the lawless and disobedient,
for the ungodly and for sinners,
for unholy and profane,
for murderers of fathers, and murderers of mothers,
for manslayers,
for whoremongers,
for them that defile themselves with mankind,
for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons,
and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine."
Again, the word arsenokoites is used for
‘Them that defile themselves with mankind..."
The sin referred to is the same as Paul referred to in
Romans 1:27
"And likewise also the men,
leaving the natural use of the woman,
burned in their lust one toward another,
men with men, working that which is unseemly,
and receiving in themselves,
that recompence of their error that was meet."

"Them that defile themselves with mankind"
comes from the word Greek word arsenokoite,
meaning "homosexual."
Arnt and Gingrich
in
"A Greek ‑ English Lexicon,
of the New Testament,
and other Early Christian Literature..."
defines
"arsenokoites "
as
"a male homosexual, a sodomite"
And Paul is saying homosexuality is a sin
that keeps on from the kingdom of God.
'Arsenokoite' is a word coined by Paul.
It never appeared in Greek literature
before he used it in these scriptures.
There were other words for "homosexual."
Why did Paul coin this word, and what exactly does it mean???...
And why did he not use the other words for homosexual?
Some try to say that Paul was referring only to prostitution, but this is errant...

Let me show how we know that.
Paul coined 179 new words in the New Testament.
It is easy to see where he got this one... for he derived it from the Greek translation
of the Old Testament called the "Septuagint"
meta arsenos ou koimethese koiten gyniakos
Leviticus 18:22
("Thou shalt not lie with mankind,
as with womankind; it is an abomination.")
hos an koimethe meta arsenos koiten gynaikos
Leviticus 20:13
("If a man also lie with mankind,
as he lieth with a woman,
both of them hath committed an abomination.")
Paul coined the term arsenokoite,
by taking two words from the Levitical passages‑
‑in the Greek translation‑
‑forbidding homosexual behavior.

The meaning can not be clearer.
The word is unique to Paul, but it clearly refers to homosexuality.
Let us take a good look at what the word literally means...
And see why Paul put two words together to mean ‘homosexuality'
First, 'Arsene,'
appears few times in the N. T.,
and always means "male." '
Koite' appears only twice in the N. T.,
and is translated "bed,"
but it does not just mean a piece of furniture on which to rest...
It was chosen due to the translators' unwillingness to more
accurately say what it meant,
so the word ‘bed' was used in a sexual connotation,
attempting to be somewhat discreet.:
For instance,
would the word ‘bed' fit this verse for ‘koite'?
"Let us behave decently,
as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness,
not in sexual immorality [koite]
and debauchery..."
Rom 13:13
And in the other verse in which we find "koite"
we see...
"Marriage should be honored by all,
and the marriage bed [koite] kept pure,
for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral."
Hebrews 13:4
where we see, again it refers to a sexual connotation,
of some action happening in
marital relations,
indicating that this action within a marriage
(of a man and woman, as outlined in both the O.T. and N.T.,
including the words of Jesus on the subject)
is undefiled,
if done between a man and woman in marriage.
The word koite is significant,
and does need a bit more study...
.in Arnt/Gingrich's lexicon....
It shows that the word

"koite' refers to ‘sexual intercourse'
that occurs
whether in a marriage bed,
or a bed of adultery...
But it goes on and explain
that it refers to the part of the intercourse which involves
"Seminal emission"
indicating that it is the emission of sperm,
in marriage or in adultery that is referred to...
So when you put the word Koite, with the word male...
You get a word that means,
***a male receiving seminal emission from another male.***
hence we are back where we started where in the verses
the translators said it meant...
"them that defile themselves with mankind"
and
"Abusers of themselves with mankind"
and we can understand why Paul coined the word
from seeing both those words used in the Greek Septuaguint
of Leviticus verses referring to homosexual behavior...
.
Therefore, homosexual behavior is meant...
and it is obviously so...
twisting words may salve a conscience...
but the Holy Spirit still speaks to hearts
as the Spirit of Truth...

how about attacks on Christians by CHRISTIAN bashers???

The counterattacks on those attacking LGBTs have nothing to do with their religious affiliation whatsoever.

if gay bashing includes any who disagree with the lifestyle

Please do not denigrate another's capacity to love as a "lifestyle" as if it is something frivilous and inconsequential. The use of this slur was most unfortunate. Is attending prayer meetings your "lifestyle"? Shame.

We need to define "gay bashing".
