Same great smart aleky comments!...

I started doing some research on John Hus for a WIKI I'm working on...The guy was absolutely fasinating...Martin Luther is actually quoted as saying, "Ich bin ein Hussite"...although I have found some discrepancies between the two theologies...

I did this because with everything going on in the ELCA I have joined a couple of "reform" movements...WordAlone and Lutheran CoRe...I don't think I have to worry about being burned at the stake, but I want to be as bold as this man....

I am reminded of an old joke we used to tell about "Reformers Anonymous"..."Hi...my names John Huss and I'm a Heretic (everybody..."Hi John")...mind if I smoke? (bad burning at the stake joke)...

back to your regularly scheduled arguements...

I don't know how many of you have been keeping up with the NCAA Basketball tourney...but I do a bracket every year...people who don't even watch college basketball do brackets...I can take the fact that LSU beat Texas yesterday there taking out one quarter of my bracket, but HOW DOES UCONN LOSE TO GEORGE MASON UNIVERSITY?...this ani't right...not even a little bit...oh well I did pick UCLA...hopefully Villanova will pull it out so I will have a chance of at least picking the winner...

Well, for my part (living smack-dab in the middle of ACC country) God proved yet again that He loves us and has our best interests at heart when Duke lost. For that one night anyway, LSU was my favorite team.

My Ph.D. is from UCLA -- so my allegiance is clear there. My wife works at UNC -- so my allegiance is also there. I'm an Arizona fan by choice (Lute's a good Lutheran, and is a class act). Since my Bruins are all that's left for me, I guess you can guess who I'm cheering for now. If LSU beats UCLA, then I'm for George Mason.

Last night was a bit disappointing; UCLA tried really hard not to win, but Memphis tried even harder. That was like watching a high school game.

Cheers.

Hey Ken. Now you know how we felt losing by one point in our first tournament bid since I was in school

Hopefully next year the Big XII will make a stronger showing. Most of our teams are pretty young but played some entertaining games this season.

I kinda think FL & LSU may be the final match-up, but who may win is anyone's guess. If UCLA plays like they did yesterday, they should be destroyed by the hungrier team.
