CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

We're currently shivering... winter is indeed upon us. Chris' car has a temperature gauge and it's been about 10 F for the past few days... supposed to be even colder tonight, and I'm wearing a skirt to the company Christmas party! Brrr...

I helped Darrell do some moving yesterday. We moved his tools/ toolboxes and other garage stuff. My left tricep is sore from exercising and not drinking enough water yesterday.Left knee is killing me...
The parade was not fun. The first graders were all over the place. I have a group of class- act whiners.
I also like Fawlty Towers.

It rained here today, melted some snow. We had sub- zero temps during the week. Shall we expect tornadoes again next week?
We did some internet stuff today during class. It was only four hours... thank God. I coudn't have looked at a computer sceen for six hours.
I need t figure out what we'll have for supper. I'll make lasagna tomorrow. Now that I'm healthy, I'll have to start up the exercising again. I've gained another six pounds since July. (ten pounds in the last year)

With stuff floating in it, right? And was the color correct for the liturgical season (purple or blue???)
Today they had a potluck at the Greek church. Our youngest son came to church with me so I made no plans for us to stay. My kids grew up on Lutheran potlucks and they absolutely hate them--mostly because of jello abuses. So...Nicholas and I went to the Chinese restaurant for "Takie Outie" and he was so happy!

Aw, but, honestly, I LOVE Lutheran potlucks - at least in the south - and yeah, sometimes Jell-o is involved. There have been many occasions of Jell-o at St. Paul functions. . .but you get that combined with good southern cooking, too. . .*is spoiled souther-cajun-lutheran* LOL
