I recently notice some similarities between militant atheism and third-wave feminism, including:

  • Both play the victim, even when they are the bullies.
  • Are extremely gullible.
  • Assume that anyone who disagrees with them is inferior.
  • Have a cartoonish understanding of history and human nature.
  • Lie about their opponents.
  • Double-down on said-lies when they get corrected.
  • Wrongly assume that Christianity is misogynistic.
  • Childishly call their opponents names.

Feel free to add more to these or move this thread to another forum.

• Extremely arrogant and prideful.
• Heavily rely on their opposition not knowing the facts.
• Appear to be under heavy influence of the Jezebel or Leviathan spirits or both.
• Refer to themselves as ‘educated’ as if a degree from a modern day Marxist university (adult daycare center) is the end-all be-all of knowledge.
• Possess heavily anti-male sentiments.
• Disdain for the family unit as God intended it to be and seek to replace it with a household run by single welfare moms.
• Hold their views because they strive to take what they perceive is the moral high-ground, even if their stance ironically promotes degeneracy (LGBTHIVAIDS cult).
• Personal attacks/ad homonyms against their opposition due to poor argumentation against their opponents.
• Support Communist/Marxist ‘ideologies’ only because they are deemed ‘fashionable’ by lying western mass media.
• Their doctrines are utter filth and lead to societal downfall.
• Feel entitled to control the terms and conditions of every debate.
• Run off to the nearest safe space when not allowed to be in control of the conversation/debate.

Does this thread have any purpose beyond ridiculing atheists and feminists?

Oh, and by the way, I think you're a little out of date. I'd never heard of third-wave feminists so I looked them up. Apparently, we're on the fourth wave since 2012 :)

To be fair, he said "militant". I'm sure most of the people stereotype fundamentalists.

What exactly does "militant" mean, though? Mostly what I see among the so-called new atheists is more like assertiveness, at least in the US. And the same is true among most feminists I have encountered.

Christians have to find a way to be authentically Christian without defining themselves in opposition to other groups. If Evangelicalism can't do that, it frankly does not need to exist as a separate identity.

As far as I can tell atheists become "militant" when we dare to vocalize about our view on religion in public, take issue with privilege afforded to the religious and have the temerity to disagree with how the religious have painted us as all that is wrong with humanity.

So much irony, so little time.

Change some of the words, does anything actually change?

I recently notice some similarities between the alt-right and biblical literalists, including:

  • Both play the victim, even when they are the bullies.
  • Are extremely gullible.
  • Assume that anyone who disagrees with them is inferior.
  • Have a cartoonish understanding of history and human nature.
  • Lie about their opponents.

Nope. Still the same (even the second last point ;))

So, on that basis, I'd say your 'similarities' are actually just broad generalities that can be associated with just about any group involved in the current US political and cultural discourse. You could put in 'militant leftist', or 'conservative Muslims', or 'Republican strategists' or 'QAnaon conspiracists' or 'members of this website' or 'Donald Trump supporters' and you'd be just as accurate as your original statement.
