  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi everyone,

I have a question that might sound silly, but I just wanted to see if others experienced this or if I should call a doctor. I'm about 21 weeks pregnant. For the last two days I've had pretty much constant pain around my belly button. It hurts when I touch it, walk, hit bumps when driving, it even kept me up last night because it hurt when I was laying on my side. I can honestly deal with pain, I'm not a wimp or anything, and I know things are going to hurt, but I just wanted to make sure this was normal. Has anyone else experienced this? Please let me know if you have...it will make me feel much better :)

P.S. Found out last week that I'm PROBABLY having a girl :) My husband was a little disappointed, but I think he's getting over it. I'm sure he'll be thrilled when little Skylar Grace is born though!

Call and ask to talk to your doctor's nurse and tell her about it, she'll tell you whether it's something you need to be seen for right away or not.

I've experienced stretching and other pains, but not particularly around my belly button, maybe that's where the baby is laying and putting the most pressure... the inside of my belly button just becomes flush with the rest of my belly, sometimes it might poke out a little depending on how the baby's laying.

I did too with my first and now with my second. I have an outie belly button now (30 weeks) and at the end of my first pregnancy, my belly button and surrounding area was completely numb. I heard that this is a milk hernia. Nothing to worry about tho unless your doc/midwife does. My belly button went right back to "normal" once my son was born. Hope it does this time too. haa

Lol, mine didn't pop, either, and I was all sad about it :p

Mine was popped out at about 20 weeks. Not fun! Now it's way out and hard, very weird. I'm 36 weeks! I look like I have a basketball under my shirt with a thing pocking out of it. lol
