Silly personal prayer request

I have these mouth ulcers called canker sores, and right now I've had one for 4 days that's the size of my fingertip, on the upper right side of my mouth. Anytime food, air, or even my teeth touch it, it hurts. >_<

I use some over-the-counter numbing medication, but it only works for a few hours and tastes terrible.

This is like the third sore I've gotten in 2 months.

Please pray for me. . .and does anyone know anything that prevents these sores?

Hi Susan

You can get a prescription medication for it. No need to suffer! Those things can be so painful.

They can be stress related, so make sure you get plenty of rest, and eat a healthy diet.

ulcers can also be prevented by drinking lots of water. If you don't drink enough water regardless how hot or cold the day is, ulcers will begin to develop. Keep your fluids up.

alum powder put right on the sore. burns like a son of a gun but works overnight. if they persist see a doctor or a dentist there could be an oral virus problem.alsso try hot as you can stand it salt water rinse. that works for my daughter when she gets them.

This is gonna sound crazy. Listerine morning and night. I get them when I stress and Holly told me to try it. I did. In spite of trying to eat part of my cheek repeatedly one day, It never turned into a sore where I bit it.
The stuff works.

That was going to be my suggestion too. You may jump up and hit your head on the ceiling the first time you try it, &nbsp; but it's worth it.&nbsp; It really does work.

And NO prayer request is silly.

used to get heaps of ulcers, though not very big ones. My dad claims its cos i have a dry mouth. He sez he sucks on sweets 24/7 and that keeps his mouth wet and that prevents sores. I said he's gonna lose his teeth permanently but im not gonna have these sores forever lol. He's so funny sometimes.

But yeah... the listerine thingy works. And this chinese green powder... melon something or another. Tastes bitter and it looks horrible, but it works! and water works. And prayer works.... my ulcers cleared up miraculously after ferverent prayer. I couldnt stand them anymore!!! lol... i was like .. God.... you give other people pimples but you give me ulcers!!??!!! heh. I picture Him up there having a laugh. Bad God

I know how you feel hon, I have Lupus and one of the problems that goes along with it is huge , painful canker sores!OUCH!I have tried every thing even coating them with salt, which seems to dry them up some but is very painful! GOD BLESS I am praying for you!
