Is that what some Christians see coming? Is that what is happening?

The video is 22 minutes long.

I agree that it's silencing us Christians.
When you can't pray at a homosexual parade then there's something wrong.
Everyone has a right to speak their mind.
Thanks,

AFA nonsense, how they can pass themselves off as a family organization is beyond me.

Christians are far from being silenced. Which I find is unfortunate, but the True Believers are the ones who are being silenced by those overly loud "Christians" who use religion as a means of getting what they want. There are more Christians in the world today than any other religion. Seperating those into three groups are the "Easter/Christmas" Christians, the "Because I'm Christian I'm better than you" Christians and the True Believers. Most people fall into the first two. To say you're a True Believer doesn't make it true by the way.

This video is just another jab at homosexuality and some invisible "agenda", a part of the right wing anti-gay "agenda" if you will. To say that homosexuality is somehow silencing Christians is not to blame on any "agenda". Pointing the finger is incredibly lazy and just leads to hate. If Christians find they're being silenced, it's because they're not being loud enough and should stop trying to evangelize the lazy way. When Christians use their martyrdom as an excuse to say "HEY LOOK WE'RE PERSECUTED" then they've obviously forgotten that they were warned they would be.

They try to help families. Married couples (men married to women with children).
There's nothing wrong with that.

+1

I find it humorous at best with all these jabs at some so-called "homosexual agenda", when the only thing proven very harmful is the anti-gay agendas, esp. ex-gay therapy.

I've never seen them do anything to actually help families. They do absolutely nothing but bash homosexuals, twist words and push like mad the "oh we're so persecuted" fad. That doesn't help anyone.

I went to a gay pride parade with my friends, and I went to look at the protestors. There are usually 2 or 3 making some comment about something.
Trust me...they are not silenced at those parades. They have microphones, and voices like foghorns. And big picket signs.

No one is being silenced. In fact a perfect eaxample, would be the Westboro Baptist church. They are allowed to scream God Hates Gays and they Thank God that soldiers are dying and maimed. The legal authorities handle them with kid gloves and spend large sums of taxpayers money affording them extra security.

But thank God for groups such as the Patriot Guard who protect the dead soldiers families from their hate.
I have heard some of these groups scream obscenities and hate epithets, but when the crowd has decided they had enough and converge on them, they cry that their rights are being violated.

Wait just a minute:
Praying and speaking one's mind are two different things.
(unless you think God has an angenda like the AFA has an agenda)

For heaven's sake. If you are all so worried, pray silently. God hears that just as well.
(and praying silently is NOT "being silenced.")

Heavens not. I pray silently just because I don't like talking out loud about whats on my mind. I loose my concentration on God that way.

So it is ok to keep a person from thanking Jesus for helping them get through high school life?

The video wasn't just about homosexuality, and I realize the section is I just find it amazing how it is all some see.

Graduation speeches are tricky. The question is whether they are representing the school or just themselves.

My own views on freedom of speech are that everybody should have the right to speak their mind, of course they run the risk of people think they are an idiot or scumbag as of what they say, but they should be able to say it.

The only time freedom of speech becomes a gray area to me is when it threatens or incites harm purposefully. At that point I question if the person saying such things should be prosecuted.

On another note I'm looking forward to the gay pride period in the UK in brighton this year, will there probably be a group of people there preaching against or handing out leaflets against it. Should they be able to do it? Yup. Do I think they are pretty ignorant people with far too much time on their hands? Yup. But I support their right to be those kinds of people.

Well I watched some of it. (although I did twitch a bit when the hostess seemed to think there wasn't supposed to be separation of Church and State  ) I watched some of the High school girls speech being censored and thought that was wrong (it reminded me to send in a contribution to the ACLU if I ever get any money) I'll watch the rest later if time permits. ;)
tulc(grateful for the separation of Church and State) :)

I’m certain God has nothing to do with the AFA

She eats my brains. What other explanation is there for how dumb and irrational I feel after I hear even one monosyllable out of her mouth?
