“‘the sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light;
the stars will fall from the sky,
and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’

~Matthew 24:29

To me, it sounds like an eclipse.
Do you know how many eclipses there have been?

This eclipse has me feeling very nostalgic and sentimental. There was a full eclipse when I was a little girl, some time in the 70's, that I remember very well. My whole school class made little pin hole boxes to follow the eclipse with.

I'm only bummed out that I waited until it was too late to buy eclipse glasses. I didn't realize that the only place to buy them would be online, and then by the time I went to buy them, there wasn't enough time to be assured they'd get delivered in time.

What do you think in seven years it will mean?
I think it is simply an eclipse, just like any other eclipse. Eclipses have happened throughout history. There have been numerous eclipses just in my lifetime.

In seven years I will be seven years older. Hopefully we will have a new President. Probably Netenyahu will be in prison for corruption and there will be a new PM of Israel. I imagine the fascism in the world, both Islamic and nationalistic, will have gotten worse, which means that racism and antisemitism will become normative. Overpopulation will be worse. The climate will be warmer. Who knows what Iran or N. Korea may have done. The Temple Mount will continue to be a focus of anger--it is possible that a war may break out over it, but I doubt it. The disparity of wealth between the rich and the poor will grow, and the middle class will begin to rebel -- I don't know what form this will take. In seven years, the water crisis may have begun in earnest. And none of this will have anything to do with prophecy.

You don't really believe in prophecy do you? Why is that?
I DO believe in prophecy. I just think that people jump the gun. For the last 2000 years Christians have believed it is the last days, and it has not been. We need to ask ourselves why we keep making that mistake and how we can stop making that mistake. Prophecy will be fulfilled when things start happening that are SIGNIFICANTLY DIFFERENT than they have been throughout history, and right now they aren't. I.e. we've always had eclipses, we've always had earthquakes like this, tornados, hurricanes, etc.

Now, as climate change goes apocalyptic, THEN the weather will truly be different than historically. The resulting violence and warfare over water shortages and the like would be similarly apocalyptic. We would truly be looking at extinction. An argument could then be made that we are in the last days. However, we still have a few years to bring the climate back from the point of no return. So it may not be the end of days.

I know they're not that rare but I'm thinking it's possible for a very specific eclipse to happen during a very specific time.

It's a little theory, not a giant claim as if I'm some big name preacher.
What makes any one eclipse any different from any other eclipse?

You replied to her question TO ME. It is only natural that I would assume your comment was directed to me. Good to know that it wasn't.

The point that really gets me is #2

entering Salem Oregon ---- exiting Salem SC

I certainly take this as a heavenly sign. Genesis 1:14

This is just a bit of selective emphasis. The width of the path of TOTALITY is 70 miles. I'll wager there are a lot of other towns with interesting names that will be covered by that.

Yep, guess we'll keep searching out the matter.

Solar eclipse across U.S. called ‘a sign from God’ includes "This is again at the beginning the month of repentance on the first of Elul!" Pastor Mark Biltz

No. The eclipse will be on 29 Av, not on the first of Elul. Check any Jewish calendar.

Month View

If an eclipse can be predicted decades or centuries in advance, how in the world can that be a sign.

I think we're about the same age so have seen a lot of seasons come and go. I'll tell you were I live it is far from normal, far, far.

Just for an example I am sitting outside right now on my back porch which is a rarely, not because I don't want to do it but because I can't do it normally.

Why?

Because just about every day it's humid.

Why?

Because it seems that every night we have horrendous T'Storms and downpours like you would see in monsoon areas around the world.

Where rainfall it on average maybe 3-4 inches in the month we have been getting that in a day, and not just once, practically everyday it seems.

And they're not quick but mostly last for hours.

This is far from normal. Most don't realize all that's happening because they are being lied to and don't want to accept that, instead they would rather believe they have the power to change it.

For one thing G-d did not make this world to not be able to hold all the souls he would have on it. Nor would he make not enough food or water to take care of them all.

The reason he made the Sun and moon and stars and set them the way he did was because this would be untouchable to both man and HaSatan. That way he could warn us.

As far as the story of people believing the end is near did not have the knowledge we have today for one and they didn't understand what it fully meant when Yeshua said it would be like in the days of Noah. When one understands fully what that means they will realize we are in the end times, the very end of end times.

Ninevah was given 40 days to repent

Israel was given 40 years to repent

HaShem is a loving G-d he is also long suffering and patient but his patience has a threshhold and he will not be mocked forever.

OH, have you ever heard or read anything from Jonathan Cahn, a Messianic Cohanim?

Of course there are, but what are the odds of it starting near Salem in Oregon, and passing through the country, entering the last state on Salem SC and then & years later the next one crossing the opposite way and where it meets the late line of eclipse, there being a Salem on the map too?

I'm not mathematical in odds making but I wouldn't hesitate to say that even if you could trace eclipses from centuries ago you wouldn't find these kind of things.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To no one in particular

To me that just exults the L-RD who knew from the beginning that there would be
1.a United States (where half the Jewish Population of the world resides)
2. The places named after Jerusalem (from Bible believers)
3. And those who believed his word about the Sun, moon and stars

Now all these things put together are not coincidence, that is what an Atheist would say, but a believer would see G-d in this as he knows the end from the beginning.
And Also US wasn't in existence centuries ago.

when Yeshua said it would be like in the days of Noah.

Matthew 24:37

Exactly. This part gets me everytime. I have to stop myself from rolling my eyes whenever people mention stuff like:

"But..but.. 2012 didn't happen. So nothing's going to happen. It's impossible. Besides everything on earth is just fine. World peace will be achieved soon. Blah blah blah"

People shouldn't guage the times based on mass appeal.
