I don't know anything about CLC but if you have Ottens publications there must be a reason. I also subscribe to CN and like most of what I see.

It's just that both the CLC and the WELS have made statements about the LCMS that we do not believe are accurate.

Also, Herman Otten does not represent the LCMS in any way.

My post was not meant to be an attack or argumentative. While the WELS do claim some things about the LCMS that we believe are not accurate, we still get along and we honor their confessionalism.

Herman Otten has a large following in LCMS/WELS/ AALC and many other Lutheran denoms so he does represent many people in those synods.

All they do is badmouth the synod they left, though, so what's the point? They moved on, so they need to let it go.

If they think they are going to have any impact with the tactics they're using, from the outside looking in and criticizing, they're sadly mistaken. It's far better to work from within.

I was glad to hear my new pastor discount their opinions for what they are and he's been ordained for 30+ years.

Upon a more thorough review of the CLC website, I am not impressed. There is definately something I don't trust. I can not quite pin down yet, but I am closing in on it. I will post again in this thread when I know.

Why are you asking about this? I ask because I am a member of a Lutheran body that is not on the list either, but I have no reason to make a request such as this. Is there a particular reason you feel a need to make this request?

I would ask if the LC-MS was omitted or over looked also.

Why? because no one else has.And since being on this forum does not imply religious fellowship is observed by those here of different Lutheran faiths
we certainly can welcome all confessional Lutherans here.
