I think that if you took the 'contraception is sinful' argument to its logical extreme, it would also imply that it would be sinful to not be having procreative sex whenever possible, which is ridiculous.

I'm unsure where you get your information from. It's at odds with WHO. How many children a family has is dependent on numerous factors including cultural beliefs, wealth, education, religious ideology and family practices. The child mortality rate is a separate issue related to health access, wealth and education.

The issue concerning condoms is important as it's also a effective preventative measure against AIDS and other STIs
