People who smoke are generally shortening their lifespans, as smoking in the long run could give them lung cancer and kill them. If they like the thought of living a long life then they should not smoke at all. That is how I lost my grandfather -- he was a smoker and he got lung cancer and died because of it.
Thankfully I have never smoked before so I don't have an addiction to it. I have been thinking about the health benefits of not inhaling smoke.
In all my years of studying the Bible I have not come across a single verse that talks about smoking, but I could be wrong about that.
