My answer is that everyone who needs to support his/herself or family needs a job.

Every breadwinner needs a job.

If a man or woman can't get a job there should be career counseling and training available.

Do you believe a woman's children have fewer needs than a man's? Do they need less food or medical care?

If you're going to exclude about 50% of the population from voting just based on gender then I think it's entirely reasonable to ask if there's anyone else you'd want to exclude. Are there any other groups you'd want refused the vote?

The point being made was that denying the vote to women would have been a satirical sketch back in the seventies by...well, by people you wouldn't know from that time in the UK like Peter Cook, Moore, Bennett and Jonathan Miller in something like Beyond The Fringe. We'd laugh because they would stretch what just might be feasable to some people to a monstrously ridiculous extent. Thus pointing out the nonsensical position of what those people might suggest as being possible in the first place.

So if people now start with something that is monstrously ridiculous then satire doesn't work. It has nowhere to go.
