Hi,

There is a clip on YouTube of a well known inappropriate contentstar doing a P&W session with a few guys with her top off (Spoiler alert: they keep their shirts on during the clip!)

What do you think of this? Is it offensive, or is it 'honouring God with your body'?

Would like to know what you think.

When you use the term "P&W" are you referring to Praise and Worship music?

If that's what you mean, to be a inappropriate content star and sing worship songs is pretty contradictory. Even with your top on. The whole inappropriate contento, topless worship thing would be a mockery of Christ.

The bible tells us to present our bodies as a living sacrifice to God. inappropriate content is the opposite of that, giving your body to dishonour, immorality, impurity, often to homosexual acts. It's a rebellion against God. The answer to the problem is true repentance and faith in Christ.

In my studies of Christian history, I have never come across anything that allows topless praise music or dance. Among pagans this was done, especially among Egyptians who had topless belly dancing done in harems in their worship of earth goddesses. There were similar practices in ancient India and other parts of the old world. But in most cases where I've read of this it was almost exclusively in front of women praising these goddesses, exhorting them to bring about fertility, and in praise of maternity and matrimony. There were similar dancing forms in New Moon festivals.

The Bible does refer to some form of exotic dancing as in the example of Miriam. But the only form of exposed skin is bare feet, not bare breasts.

Colossians 2:16 says, " let no one judge you because of what you eat or drink or about the observance of annual holy days, New Moon Festivals, or weekly worship days." Thus, while the Bible does not give us examples of Christians observing these fests in the manner done by pagans, it forbids us from judging anyone as to how they are practiced.
