Should Christians support Jews in rebuilding of Third Temple?

Should Christians support Jewish control of Temple Mount and rebuilding of Temple?

  • Yes, I believe that every word in Ezekiel chapter 40 to 48 must be fulfilled.

  • No, doing this might speed up the time of the coming of the anti-Messiah!

  • Yes, King Cyrus was led by the God of Abraham and he supported this cause.

  • No, I believe that we should all be vegetarians and never kill animals.

  • Yes, our nation will be blessed if we bless the Jewish people.

  • No, this could lead to a war and human life is of more value than any temple!

My guess is near death experience accounts will play a huge role in dividing us over the short term...

Jesus warned his disciples, that their persecutors would kill them out of relitions zeal -- the same way the Jewish leaders were able to whip up the crowd to say, "Crucify him!"

John 16
[1] These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended.
[2] They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.
[3] And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.
[4] But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you.

I don't expect a civil war in the church, which is already largely underground. The New Age religion, though, which seems to have already taken over in Europe and other places, has a tremendous hold on people who might THINK they are Christians. The morality of this religion is completely turned on it's head: Abortion and Homosexuality, for instance, are considered "good", and those who oppose these things are looked upon as "bad"; and these people are pushy and potentially violent.

I don't know how the Third Temple fits in with all this. If the Dome of the Rock is the Abomination that Maketh Desolate, it has been standing where it ought not be for 1,322 years. I certainly believe it is AN abomination, and ought to be removed out of respect for the place; but it doesn't qualify as THE abomination. I think the Jews ought to assert their right to build THEIR temple to THEIR God on THEIR land which THEY have fought for. If they do not, they are giving away their own legitimacy to exist as a people and a nation. Something mighty has to happen in the Jewish spirit, before that day dawns.

Meanwhile, I just keep following the war. The world (much of it calling itself "Christian") is siding with the Muslims and their claim to a "right" to the Temple Mount; and on the other side, the Jewish side, we have a pretty pathetic group of largely clueless people, protected by the God of the Universe. It's an uneven battle -- the world doesn't stand a chance

Shalom shalom

A guest on the Sid Roth telecast addressed many of these questions BlandOatmeal!

For the record........I believe that Mr. Gary Kah did a good interview.........but if he is not careful he could become a Christian Pharisee and/or Scribe???!!!

Any of us could and frankly there is such a thing as a "right wing" Christian Scribe or Pharisee as well as a "left wing" Christian Scribe/Pharisee???!!!!

I do believe that Mr. Gary Kah's theories are partly correct.......but like the words of the Apostle Paul can easily be understood in the wrong way.....Paul was in a running squabble with Rabbinic Jews all his life and you and I are in a very different type of situation.

Gary Kah - Sid Roth - It's Supernatural_

Guest: Gary KahNovember 14-20, 2011 Gary Kah has spent a lifetime trying to understand and expose the Anti-Christ's economic, religious and political system that is now being secretly implemented! Gary has intelligence information that is so HOT that the secular press doesn't dare report it! -

The only difference is that Jews squabble, whereas Christians shun and excommunicate. The only "squabbles" I get in, are a brother animatedly attacking me with scriptures, then radio silence from people I used to consider friends, then reading on Facebook about how I've become an apostate. Jews don't do that -- They live to squabble.

It's comforting to know that 20% of the readership of this thread finds it their sacred duty to hasten the apocalypse.
Let, You're trying to impose your own doctrine on the poll responders. Rebuilding the temple has nothing to do with the apocalypse -- which cannot be "hastened" except by prayer. There is not even a definite place for it in the end times, unless you bend your interpretations to accomodate such. God DID command the Jews to build it, though, and Haggai told us that it is not good for us to build homes for ourselves while letting the House of God lay in ruins (even worse, to be replaced by a pagan monument). Those are timeless instructions, not instructions for the end times only.

BlandOatmeal.....am I silly to be worried that the fulfillment of this prediction of the voice of the LORD being heard in the temple.......perhaps cannot be completely fulfilled......until the Jerusalem Temple is rebuilt???!!!

I used to think of this as being the spiritual temple.....but I am not so sure anymore???!!!

Isaiah 66 (Blue Letter Bible: KJV - King James Version)

Isa 66:5Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name's sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.

Isa 66:6 A voice of noise from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the LORD that rendereth recompence to his enemies.

Why isn't there a "no, it would destroy a 1400 year old Islamic holy site" option? Seriously. It wasn't right putting it there, given the site's value to the Jews, but its construction is now just a historical fact, and its value to Muslims is high.

Good points Standing_Ultraviolet....but I have read a powerful case that The Third Temple can be built off to the side of both the Dome of the Rock as well as the Al Aqsa Mosque!

Tuvia Sagiv presents a theory that the area of the original Temple of Solomon is NOT on top of the Dome of the Rock but well off to the side so that both the Jerusalem Third Temple as well as the Dome of the Rock could perhaps be side by side to each other!

Technically they could, but if they wanted to put it on the original temple mound, then it would have to be significantly smaller than Herod's temple. It would be more of a chapel than a temple, frankly. If anyone wants to build it, I would caution against it because of the risk presented to worshipers there (due to its highly controversial location), but I wouldn't oppose the idea on principal. I just don't think that's what most people mean when they say that they want a reconstructed temple.

Also, do most Jewish people in Israel actually want a reconstructed temple? That's something you have to ask, because frankly, I kind of think that it might be more of an apocalyptic Protestant thing. To my knowledge, I think that most modern Orthodox Jews consider the temple mount to be so holy that large parts of it are completely off limits.

For a number of years, based on Zechariah chapter 4, I wondered if the only part of the existing structure that would be used in the Ezekiel 40 - 48 temple would be the foundation laid by Zerubbabel?????!!!!

Now I am not so sure any more?????!!!!
