Playing D&D back in the 80's was so much more fun because everyone thought you were evil and were kind of afraid of you.

Not that I think evil is good, it was just preferable to what we became known as...

Sometime in the mid-90's most people realized we were anti-social dorks and began to shun us.

I'm serious, back in the 80's if I told people I played they were like...whoa!

Now they say "wow, you must have been a real loser". In all fairness, that was closer to the truth.

BTW, I have the box set in that video you posted. The white box from way back in the 70's. The only problem is mine has the "Collector's Edition" stamp on it which, ironically, makes it less of a collectors item then the original one.

Okay, I have played D&D since there has been D&D (1974). I live in Lansing Michigan were this "D&D is evil" got a boost when James Dallas Egbert ran off from MSU. The Police and School officials rounded up us "D&D cultists and after violating our civil rights to legal counsel and having our parents present the courts put a stop to the shenanigans.
