I know that there is a place that already mints bekas (1/2 shekels) in accordance to the Temple's measure before it was destroyed (but they're being sold at nearly 3-6x what they're actually worth in silver). However, I was thinking about getting some shekels and bekas minted, reproducing the designs found on old coins from the 1st century, for a friend of mine who wants to do a bride price properly. :)

Do you think that anyone else would have use for such a thing? They would be almost perfect replicas, except that the designs would be restored and sharpened from the wear and tear of two millennia.

Peace!

Here's the design I'm planning to use (the date of course will probably be removed).
