I know that there is a place that already mints bekas (1/2 shekels) in accordance to the Temple's measure before it was destroyed (but they're being sold at nearly 3-6x what they're actually worth in silver). However, I was thinking about getting some shekels and bekas minted, reproducing the designs found on old coins from the 1st century, for a friend of mine who wants to do a bride price properly.
Do you think that anyone else would have use for such a thing? They would be almost perfect replicas, except that the designs would be restored and sharpened from the wear and tear of two millennia.
Peace!
