The only point of my post is that many prosecutors have ulterior motives. They gave two people willing to confess to the crime of attacking Dr Ford. How "good" do you have to be when people are so willing to be stupid?
Difficult to feel sorry for a Judge. As a general rule they destroy peoples lives all the time.Kavanaugh's life is not destroyed
What were the results? Do you have a citation?I heard Ford took a lie detector test...the same day she went to her grandmother's funeral...not a good day for a test, would throw off the results. Interesting comment she made about "gofundme" and where the funds for the tests came from.
What is their motive? Their only motive should be to extort money from people so they can pay their wages and make a living. The only point of my post is that many prosecutors have ulterior motives.
I think a lie detector test (although they are not 100% accurate) would be a great idea, not only for Judge Kavanaugh but also for his accusers. Should a situation occur in which he passes and they all fail they would be telling the same as if he failed and they all passed.Actually there is no evidence of a crime. The guy is a judge and he knows exactly what to say. You can tie him up, torture him and integrate him all you want. He is still going to say all the right things to keep from implicating himself. I think it is a shame that the whole process does not lend itself to the truth. Maybe that is why he has to drink.
He said he would take a lie detector test. That would be quick, even before Tue vote they could have the results. The democrats should have jumped all over that. But they are not very smart. Because if he was lying as they suggest then that would come out on the test.
Well at least he is getting a hearing. Merrick Garland (cough, cough)
No, not at all. This isn't political for me. I'm not convinced of his guilt or his innocence. Nor do I have a hatred for judges, I've know at least a few who I believed to be very honest and caring public servants. However it's difficult to believe a man's life is destroyed who is still a candidate for the highest court in the country. Shoot even if he isn't confirmed he would simply go back to his previous court and continue on with what is still a pretty successful and according to him fulfilling life.Difficult to feel sorry for a Judge. As a general rule they destroy peoples lives all the time.
In most cases I would think political aspirations. This is simply a general statement. Certainly there are many very ethical prosecutors. What is their motive? Their only motive should be to extort money from people so they can pay their wages and make a living.
I'm not convinced he's innocent (or guilty for that matter) of the accusations. Should he be guilty there is no attempt to destroy his career, his family or his entire life's work. There would simply be an attempt to keep an unethical individual off of the highest court in the country. In the case of Marrick Garland all the Republicans did was evoke the Biden Rule and did not vote on him. They did not attempt to destroy his reputation, his career, his family, and his entire life's work, as the Democrats have done concerning Kavanaugh.
There is no equation between these two events.
I had a girl friend, her daddy was a prosecutor. He was a real piece of work. But he could be a real nice guy when he was not attacking people. In most cases I would think political aspirations. This is simply a general statement. Certainly there are many very ethical prosecutors.
She already took the test. She even paid for it herself. The Senate offered to help her out and she said she had go fund me money available to cover her expenses. Although she claimed she has been to busy to look into any of that to see what her expenses are and how much she has collected to pay for it. But she was not worried about it at all. This could all turn out to be very profitable for her.also for his accusers.
She did do a pretty good job of being consistent. So when they tried to pick her apart for inconsistency they were not able to get much of anything on her.Looks like you were wrong.
She gave testimony. She passed the test. The guy wants to testify but the senate turned him down. I think I saw him on a TV program somewhere. He said he only asked her two questions. She said he asked her all sorts of private questions that she did not think had anything to do with this. What were the results? Do you have a citation?
There is no evidence that he did not stop when she said to stop. There is no evidence to show that she was forced into that bed. This is the discussion she wants to have. She wants him to try to defend what he did to her. But as a judge he knows that the best defense is to say I do not know that girl and I do not know what she is talking about. It is to bad that the system forces people to lie to defend themselves. His eyes look shifty to me and he looks hung over. I think a lie detector test would get at the truth of what he did and how much he drinks. It looks to me like he is not qualified. But the stupid democrats are coming close to letting him get away with it. They are just not smart enough to land this fish. But I am worried about his drinking and no one seems to feel that should disqualify him.No means no, immediately. So even if she was in the bed willingly, no should mean no, stop should mean stop with no equivocation.
Shirking constitutional obligations for purely political ends is pretty serious. In the case of Marrick Garland all the Republicans did was evoke the Biden Rule and did not vote on him. They did not attempt to destroy his reputation, his career, his family, and his entire life's work, as the Democrats have done concerning Kavanaugh.
There is no equation between these two events.
According to Dr Ford P.J. Smyth was at the party. P.J. Smyth is a girl and she denies being there at the party. Same as Kavanaugh friend denies being at the party.According to a woman who was a high school friend of Kavanaugh, Dr. Ford didn't run in the same circles as Kavanaugh. They had a clique of Catholic School friends.
Yep, me too.
His rage was understandable, after what the press has done to his family over this. I think he was also upset about how the press handled Dr. Ford.
I disagree completely. I think, if he was out of control, he'd have jumped over the table and throttled DiFi.
I suppose it's too much to expect a man to keep his cool in front of the Senate if your career depends on it.
With a hand over her mouth to keep her from screaming, perhaps? Perhaps he's learned a few lessons from his youth.
