  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Jackalope --- now extinct in most of its historic range. May survive in south western Saskatchewan. Experiments in captive breeding have all failed.

I wish!! That is one awesome pooddytad!! They do not live in the wild, they are too big and slow to hunt down prey. The only living ones are in captivity.

Here is a question (For all  )

CHRONOLOGY_
and matters that provide 'insight'

How 'OLD', are the scriptures, that provide the original-text of the Bible ??

Are you sure ?

A recent discovery in Australia.... brings a little uncertainty ~into play (here)

included page-link said:
Scientists working with Mr Hamm's team have determined the age of the site at 49,000 years.

Aboriginal Australians are the oldest continued civilisation in the world, descending from the first people to leave Africa, according to a genetic study published by the University of Copenhagen in September.

But the time of arrival of the first Australians is debated among researchers.
The consensus view, is they arrived
50,000 years ago.

But Mr Hamm said their presence 49,000 years ago at a site in southern Australia suggested they must have reached northern parts far earlier.

[Emboldening and Underlining of text (above) is MY DOING]

It may not have been that much earlier. Even migrating at just ten miles per year in one thousand years, ten thousand miles would be covered. Something like this took place in the Americas because the mega fauna only took about a millennium to disappear after first arrival.

Yes, I agree that something-a little 'similar' [may have happened in America]
if only, because 'what goes-around, also comes-around, AGAIN'

So, returning now to the subject, of 'chronology'
please remind-me,
w
hen, did Jesus arrive on-Earth ?

**
The SPREAD, from North to South Australia
may not have been so-rapid (as you suggest)
bearing in mind, that progress, (without transport)
requires; adequate-supplies, follow-up support (repeat migrations)

AND.... a large-enough GENE POOL

ETA: Should we view such migrations _as we see refugees arriving from eastern Europe and the Middle East
THEY, are not entering virgin-lands _?
THEY, are relying upon our infrastructure, to-survive

Back then, THE IMMIGRANTS 'found' no-such foundations, setup

Wow, I just read a story about a man who had been constipated for-years
Surgeons hacked away a huge chunk of his intestine
because it looked as though he might explode at any moment

I was going to post the LINK, but, having checked
the 'comments' below the article_ I cannot
Instead... I am posting two photos and the name of the source

The 22-year-old patient, who remains unnamed, is thought to have been born with a rare condition known as Hirschsprung's disease. The highly unfortunate condition is caused by missing nerves, which would ordinarily help to squeeze and relax the bowel while passing... erm... *******

Adding a personal note...
I expected it to have more of the frame
that German Shepherds have.
Indeed, I am very-surprised, it has not

Runaway pigs cause chaos after escaping truck taking them to a slaughterhouse

They made a bid for freedom.

Now here is a 'turn-up for the books'
For some reason, most of the country wants yet another god damn election.
Less than a week ago we had the third national vote in as many years.
But rather than being sick of the whole process, the majority of the country would apparently welcome another one.
This is according to a YouGov poll, which found that 43% of the UK wants another general election this autumn.

I think the books will be rather OVERCOOKED ~to be honest :D
