The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand.


By this verse the Lord brought me into His kingdom nearly 30 years ago. If the Father loves the Son...so should I also love the Son...that simple. The love between the Father and the Son has always fascinated me and gripped my heart.

Hebrews 7:26 & 27,

'Such a high priest meets our need -- one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens. Unlike the other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. He sacrificed for their sins once for all when he offered himself.'

The devotional I read this morning talks of how Jesus continually intercedes on our behalf. His work did not end at the cross. But because of who He is and what He did for us He can come to the presence of God without all the ritual that the priests had to go through. It is encouraging to know that Jesus is always there to go to bat for us when we need Him to. The important thing to remember is to always take our cares to Him. Sometimes in our troubles, despair, grief or whatever it is hard to give them up to Him and ask for help. It really should be the easiest thing in the world.
