Job 40:1-5

1 Moreover the LORD answered Job, and said, 2 Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct him? he that reproveth God, let him answer it. 3 Then Job answered the LORD, and said, 4 Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee? I will lay mine hand upon my mouth. 5 Once have I spoken; but I will not answer: yea, twice; but I will proceed no further.

Amos 5.4

This is what the Lord says to the house of Israel:

Seek me and live;do not seek Bethel,
do not go to Gilgal,
do not journey to Beersheba.
For Gilgal will surely go into exile,
and Bethel will be reduced to nothing.
Seek the Lord and live
or he will sweep through the house
of Joseph like a fire;
it will devour and Bethel will have no one to quench it

"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it."
Malachi 3:10 (NIV)

And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissapation; but be filled with the Spirit,
speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,
singing and making melody
in your heart
to the Lord,

giving thanks always for all things to God the Father
in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

submitting to one another in the fear of God.

And God said ...

Often, this phrase pops into my head and reminds me that all creation came into being by His spoken word. I am awed and encouraged by the knowledge that this same Word quickens, reproves, teaches, and breathes life into my very being. Great is the Lord!

Jer 24:6
My eyes will watch over them for their good, and I will bring them back to this land.
I will build them up and not tear them down;
I will plant them and not uproot them.
I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the Lord.
They will be my people, and I will be their God, for they will return to me with all their heart.

there seem to be different seasons in life where God breaks down some things in us that aren't of Him, so that He can rebuild us in the ways of truth.
i find these verses very encouraging that God is a God who is into building truth into the lives of His people because He loves us so much.

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash."
Matthew 7:24-27 (NIV)

But one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep. Behold, the lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose it's seven seals." Rev. 5:5

The Lord has recently told me to stop "weeping".

Would you kindly share a little more about "stop weeping" unless it is too personal to share? I wish I heard the same words from the Lord.

I will try brother Rupert...it is personal for me tho.

I have had floods and rivers of tears ever since last summer...it started when my health got so bad. Yet at times...the tears seemed to be some sort of intercession as well. I am not sure what the Lord was doing with the tears.

I had carried a great deal of emotional pain over this last Easter holiday...and I was trying "not to weep"...I was fairly successful...turned my mind and thoughts a lot to Paul's prayer in Col. 1:9-14

I was trying to look to the Lord...past my pain...instead of letting it take me over. This is how the Lord has healed me sometimes of deep emotional hurts...I don't have a formula or answers...it is just me living my life in the Lord.

It was soon after that when I felt the Lord quickened scripture to me to stop weeping...I'm still not sure what all is going on...

I am wanting to pick up the word with more courage and faith I know...believing in the Lord's power and will to help me overcome everything.

Are your tears for yourself or the church? You could be an intercessor and don't realize it.

Thank you, Sister Shirley for the sharing. I hope an overwhelming joy will come to you soon. As the Lord said, "You will not remember the ark of covenant," I hope you will not remember the days of tears because of the joy.

As for me, it is more for the church than myself. I hope to hear soon from the Lord, "Stop weeping. I will send the renewing spirit to the churches you are praying for," not because I prayed but because he is merciful.

Rupert

Be careful to follow every command I am giving you today, so that you may live and increase and may enter and possess the land that the LORD promised on oath to your forefathers. Remember how the LORD your God led you all the way in the desert these forty years, to humble you and to test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands. He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your fathers had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD.

1Co 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

1Co 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

1Co 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

1Co 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

1Co 15:55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
