I have an internet friend who is almost 36 weeks pregnant. She found out very early on in the pregnancy that the baby (a boy they have named Elijah) has Trisomy 13. Elijah's growth has slowed down dramatically and she will be induced sometime late next week. There is no way to know how long Elijah will survive...maybe a few minutes, maybe a few days.
I just wanted to request a few prayers for her. Her name is Laura and her husband's name is Jon.
I cannot imagine how hard it must be to be planning for the birth and death of your child all at the same time.
