No, not your aspirations, your dreams. As I am finally about to fall asleep (at almost 8:30am) I just thought it might be fun for us to share our funny dreams. Rep the ones that make you laugh.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I will share. My dream is actually a daydream fantasy that I have when I play my drums.
The setting.....I am playing drums in my house. Phil Collins drives down the road and hears my drumming. He stops the car and knocks on the door. He asks me to join him at Madison Square Garden to open for his show. I am flattered, but at first decline. He insists that I accompany him and off we go.
At Madison Square Garden.....Phil Collins introduces me to the audience. I start to play my drums. The crowd is at first very quiet. Then they are up on their feet, standing on the chairs and applauding and cheering loudly. Phil Collins is even taken back by my playing.
He says, " Wow...I knew she was good....but didn't realize how good she was...."
Okay....you can stop laughing now. I know it will never happen, but when I think about it, I can even picture the whole setting unfolding just like I said.

Only in my dreams. I didn't start playing drums til I was 40. Prior to that it was classical piano. Always wanted to play drums since I was a little kid and saw Buddy Rich play on the Merv Griffin show. When I turned 40, I treated myself to a drum kit and started taking lessons, much to the horror of my mom.

My son started playing drums when he was 17 and now (age 21) he is really good. In fact his drum teacher in HS now hires him to give private lessons to his drum students.
