Haha... I forgot about the Tim Curry thing. Yep, it was decorated nice, inside and out. But we could only look through the windows, since it looked like you needed a reservation to get into the lobby (Or at least, they weren't letting the public in when we were there.)

That's so cool that you just saw it. Although one day I hope you can go inside and get the full experience. Were/are you in New York for a holiday?

Yep, I was last week, for a holiday... since I live relatively close now. I was also there a few months ago, which is when I went to St. Patrick's.

Thanks... it would be cool to see the inside. We could see the grand staircase and red carpeting from the windows... and the balustrade was wrapped with Christmas lights, wreaths up on the outside, ect. But there was a barricade blocking most of the doors, and a doorman at the opening, so I just assumed that we couldn't get inside.

If you get the chance to visit NYC someday, I would highly recommend. Tons of cool places to see. I don't think I'd ever want to live there, however.

This is a small textile village not far from where I live. Not long after Christmas lights were first being displayed, the owner of the textile mill decided that for the entire month of December, he would pay the electric bill for the residents of that small village. Here is a small sampling...

Sorry, no. I grew up in the area of McAdenville. It was known as Christmas City long before any other in the US. We drove, or walked, through it every year when I was a kid, depending upon the weather and temperature.

Then, on New Years, we would go to Cherryville to watch the Cherryville Shooters. They keep up the tradition of "shooting in the New Year", using antique muskets.

Awesome! That sounds great. One year for New Years my Dad took us to a skeet club where we shot skeet to ring in the new year. It was a load of fun an every year we meant to go but just never got to it again.

With my sister's and niece's permission, I will now reveal the kind of beautiful family I am so fortunate as to descend from.

This is my older sister Brooke and my nephew Luca (her second son). Luca is seriously chill for an infant his age. Hope it doesn't magically change for the far worse when he hits two and three like it seemed to for my other nephew Santi (the kid is a regular terror as of recent).

Well, I'm not sure. Despite how little time I have been around Victoria the last three years or so she has had to remain with her blood mother in Chile and not been able to come to America (unfortunate since she appears to really like it here in this country and was sad to have to leave back then), she seems to be the type who can take care of herself and thus judge the guys who end up liking her wisely as to whether she should respond to them positively to them or not.

Why thank you. I admit, people in my family tend to be quite attractive. I wish I were half as cute as Luca is back when I was a toddler. Not to mention as quiet and well-behaved.

It was kind of a tough day, but a blessing as well. We didn't have many pictures of my dad after he died. I had one that's really old and one you can barely make out. But today my older sister found a bunch!! We were all crying looking at them, getting a good look at him for the first time in years. Sorry if they're too big.
