CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

True. But then what do you call a Christian who doesn't pray and gets up and does something? Or what do you call a Christian who is able to judge the wheat from the weeds despite God telling us we couldn't? And then what do you call a Christian who does actually go pray and jumps on the opportunities that are opened when people ask about it? I often wonder if it's like steering a big ship, which is always easier to do if the ship is moving even a little. Finally what do you then call the Christian who actually does nothing, and continues to do nothing?

1. Far smarter than the one who prays and does nothing.
2. Not sure what you're saying on this one. I look at everyone as family and I only want the best for them. So if someone is acting like a weed, I'll say something.
3. Extremely rare.
4. I would call them a christian who is going to have a hard time in life, someone who's life is not much different than an unbeliever.
Now it seems to me that you are aiming that post at me, especially the last line.
Many times I have stated what we should do, and every once in awhile someone will say "Well why aren't you doing it???"
And when they say that it tells me 2 things a. They are doing very little or nothing at all, and b. They don't know anyone else who is doing it.

No, sorry. Please don't think I'm saying you do nothing, I really am not. I'm simply looking at the OP which seems to say that people praying, and people who may actually be doing it for the right reasons, which they wouldn't know (wheat vs weeds) and seem to imply that doing nothing is better. Not aimed at you at all, sorry if I lead you to believe that.
