It WAS visible in the sense that that generation saw the literal effects of His coming in power and glory and salvation in the destruction of the entire Temple system and Jerusalem.
Christ established His Kingdom with Power and Glory with the destruction of the temple and the city Jersualem? LOL! No, we go to Scripture for truth, not assumptions.
Hebrews 1:3
- "Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;"
Acts 2:29-31
- "Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.
- Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;
- He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption[/i]."
Acts 2:32-36
- "This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.
- Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.
- For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
- Until I make thy foes thy footstool.
- Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ."
Acts 1:6-8
- "When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
- And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
- But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.[/i]"
So verily, they saw the Son of man coming in his kingdom with power. Because when He sent His Holy Spirit as the Comforter, it was then that both Christ and His Kingdom were "revealed" to them, and made their abode with them. And indeed with us.
John 14:16-21
- "And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
- Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
- I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
- Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
- At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
- He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him."
So much for the destruction of Jerusalem in 70AD. Because, we ARE the extending of His Kingdom with power, brought about by His ascension to the throne.
Luke 24:49-51
- "And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
- And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.
- And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them."
