Not necessarily. In this case, they have the temperature range that is comparable with earth, likely rocky and capable of having liquid water. Even being capable of supporting life doesn't mean that we could just drop onto it right away anyway.
And that's not a meaning that gets translated in the popular media. Europa, for instance, is "earthlike" by that definition.
But other scientists also point out that this planet has some very unusual characteristics that would create even further differentiation, such as an abnormally large iron core that subsequently creates an unusually strong magnetic field that provides an unusually dense protection from ionizing solar radiation that would otherwise prevent higher life forms from developing.
