The bible is really easy to read because the paragraphs are numbered.

You may mock God's Word all you like (but please know that such a thing is not nice). Anyways, I believe that even the chapter and verse numbers that were added later to the Bible were also added by divine influence. How so? Well, Revelation 13:18 tells us (the reader) to count numbers as a part of wisdom.

Revelation 13:18
"Here is wisdom. Let him that hath the understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his nummber is Six hundred threescore and six."

This lines up with Ecclesiastes chapter 7 that tells us about how Solomon set his heart to seek out wisdom and the reason of things (Ecclesiastes 7:25) whereby he then says he found out the account by counting one by one (Ecclesiastes 7:26).

So both Revelation and Ecclesiastes tell us to (a) Count so as to: (b) gain wisdom.

Ecclesiastes chapter 7 is the 666th chapter in the Bible. Revelation 13 deals with the mark of the beast (666). What are the odds that both chapters talk about the same thing and the number 666 is tied to both? Granted, chapter and verse numbers are not a part of the original text, but I don't think God would find them useless to his purposes for His people today because we (believers) use them all the time and find them to be very invaluable. For all a believer has to do is say "John 3:16" and most believers will know what passage they are talking about.

Jack Chick preached against sinful things and religions. He did not say, God hates you, etc. if you do such and such sin, like Phelp's church does. Jack focused on the Judgment against sin (at a future Judgment by God). I do not see Phelp's signs of hate being displayed in a Chick Tract. Granted, Jack did not hold back any punches. He told things like they were and he condemned sin and wrong beliefs. Granted, if I was in Mr. Chick's position, I would have taken a more subtle approach in pointing out the error of people's sins and wrong beliefs, though. But he was not wrong for what he did (Unless of course you believe in Universalism). Anyways, I was saved by a chick tract called, "This Was Your Life" and I have no desire to carry hate signs around. In fact, I think that such a thing is wrong because it does not send the message that God is love and He desires us to repent and come to Him. It also does not send the message that we are to love others (Including our enemies). Jack pointed out many times the love of God thru His Son, Jesus Christ. Jack pointed out in his tracts that people that have accepted Christ had lived good and Godly lives. He did not picture Christians hanging out in the streets in holding up hate signs (like Phelp's church does). Please read a good number of Jack's comic tracts before casting any stones.

Personally, I feel the truth is not going to be won by what is said by men, but it is going to be won by the Word of God. So whether the story is true or false, I choose the Word of God instead. So while I may think some of Jack's tracts can lead many to the Lord, I do not necessarily agree with all of his methods or beliefs (Whether the reports he believes are true or not). What I know is that Jack made a comic book that led me to the Lord where others could not do so. The imagery of God's plan of salvation was all too clear to me to see. For I had received written tracts with Scripture and could not understand them all too well. But Jack used pictures and Scripture to open up God's plan of salvation to me for me to accept Jesus as my Savior.

Do I wish Jack Chick just stuck to Scripture (i.e. God's Word) instead of believing the reports of men? Yes, I do. But that does not mean he did not help alot of people in coming to the Lord to begin with (Especially those who even later broke away from some ofJack Chick's personal beliefs later on - like myself).

Jesus said narrow is the way that leads unto life and few be there that find it. Jesus did not say many will find it. Now, does that mean every belief held by Christians is a narrow way? Surely not. The point is that not every belief in Christianity that is popular is true. Jesus makes this point when He says narrow is the way that leads unto life and few be there that find it.

There is an important difference between

The Bible says, "Without faith it is impossible to please God." (Hebrews 11:6).

You have to first believe. You have to be convicted of your sin before Jesus and ask Him to forgive you of your sins and believe by faith that He died on the cross for your sins and that He rose 3 days later on your behalf. If you tried to do this and did not hear from Him, then chances are you were not being truly sincere or genuine with the Lord or you did not fully believe (Whereby you planned to make a full head on committment to believe Jesus and His Word no matter what).

As for the evidences for a Young Earth:

Please take note that I am not going to go back and forth in debating these evidences with you. That would be pointless because it is not the evidence that is going to ultimately convince you. It is Jesus Christ who will change your mind and heart. For a person cannot see the things of God without Jesus.
