  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

God knew exactly how long was each of His Days/Ages. They were as long as necessary to complete a period of work. That is WHY God used the Hebrew word for Day, yom, which can be ANY period of time, 12 or 24 hours, a lifetime or even Eternity, since the 7th Day is Eternity. It has NO end. Amen?
No. because each day has a qualifier of "the evening and the morning were the nth day". This signifies a period of daylight and a period of night time, which is a 24 hour period. This qualifier is used only once outside of Genesis 1. It is done on purpose to clearly shows that each day had a period of evening and morning In Genesis Chapter 1 the word "Yom" is only used in two different ways. It is only ever used as the light hours when the sun is shining or of a 24 hour period (one rotation of the earth). There is no other way how the word "Yom" is used in Chapter 1. Quite simply you have place external meanings into the word to justify non-biblical means into the word.

3. Quite simply you have place external meanings into the word to justify non-biblical means into the word.

1. That's because the word yowm is used in many different ways in Scripture.

Authorized Version (KJV) Translation Count — Total: 2287

AVday 2008, time 64, chronicles + 01697 37, daily 44, ever 18, year 14,continually 10, when 10, as 10, while 8, full 8 always 4, whole 4, alway 4, misc44

Count up the uses for the word day as bolded. (Heb-yowm) is used 114 times in the Bible to mean more than 24 hours.

2. Not according to Strong's, as is demonstrated above.
3. False accusation. Try to do better. The 7th Day (Heb-yowm) has NO evening because it has NO end. It's Eternity. Amen? God Bless you

Not the 7th day. And see how the writer of Hebrews makes use of this fact. The day of God's rest is still "Today".

It's because the 7th Day is Eternity when ALL of the host (including the last sinner to be saved) is safely in Heaven and when God's work of filling His perfect Heaven with perfect people, in Christ Spiritually, is Finished (Heb-brought to perfection). Then and ONLY then, God will rest (Heb-cease) creating people in Christ because Heaven will be filled with His children. Gen 2:1 Then, God will rest from ALL of His work of creating. Gen 2:2-3. God's rest is future to 2015.

Heb 4:9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.

Amen?
