Great minds think alike?
So do you also believe that what AV Posted is true?

Are you here as his judge? Are you here to persecute? Do you have the capacity to discern each point?
Three strikes and your out.
You have become a fault finder in the Last Days!

What did they speak then?I can certainly assure you that at no time did everyone in the world speak English.
What did they speak then?
Everyone in the world ... as you put it ... at one time consisted of just two people.
What specific language did they speak, in your opinion?
Which is?As they were created by God, it would stand to reason that they spoke God's language.
Which was?As God eventually chose, of all the people of the world at the time, the Hebrews, it would stand to reason that they spoke the right language.
Wow, talk about jumping the shark. All he asked was if you agree with AV on those points. You have a serious persecution complex if you think that counters as persecution!.

Newark? It would make sense.12. Noah lived in present-day New Jersey.
That is correct.
This same person who asked that also showed up in a thread that a buddy of mine made, when he threw a party when I hit one million posts; and hinted that I may have used a bot -- and they put him in his place. All he asked was if you agree with AV on those points.

Later, this same person visited my visitor's message box and put two disgusting pictures in it because I resurrected a couple of threads that had good questions in them -- and I had to appeal to authority for their removal.
What does "jumping the shark" mean?I still maintain that it's jumping the shark,
What does "jumping the shark" mean?
Is that the same as our, "jumping the gun"?
I don't really know, so possibly. I always took it to mean 'getting ahead of yourself', or acting on false pretences. What does "jumping the shark" mean?

Ewww.
(I still maintain that it's jumping the shark, as Heissonear presumably doesn't know any of that, and it would be less hostile to just say 'yes' or 'no'. Still... ewwww)
I don't really know, so possibly. I always took it to mean 'getting ahead of yourself', or acting on false pretences.
But after looking at TLK Valentine's cited Wiki, I think I may have been using it wrong all these years! So yes, I actually meant 'jumping the gun' instead of 'jumping the shark', which in hindsight is completely meaningless.
Jumping the shark means something good rapidly turning really bad/stupid, and was coined when a Happy Days character literally jumped a shark, marking when a supposedly good show rapidly turned bad. It is more used to refer to entertainment than anything else, and does not mean "jumped the gun", which is coming to a conclusion too quickly or acting without thinking about the situation fully. They are often incorrectly used as if they mean the same thing, which they don't.
