I did that last month, Menno - several in fact; I ran out of net time.

Unless there's something on I want to watch (rare) I don't watch t.v. I'd rather read. Now limiting reading, that would be hard!

You couldn't give up one of those hours each month to have dessert with the ladies in your church whose grumpy husbands get mad if church runs late?

I think if we all gave up just one hour a month and did something godly and productive with it, we'd all be happier and better off!

...guilty, I've been a grumpy husband when things run late, usually it's after everything is done and I've got the kids in the car and I'm waiting...waiting......

Considering I spend most of my net time in an online bible and studying and trying to be constructive here I think I'm fine.

Spending time studying the Bible is ALWAYS a godly and productive thing to do!

Sometimes the devil uses our addictions and our free time to try to keep us from the Lord. However, I would much rather see someone on CF than doing something unconstructive. Even a little time spent in the word can be refreshing. I've also learned through my own personal experiences that the more the devil piles on me in an attempt to keep me from the Lord the more I am willing to struggle to spend time with him. It seems to help counteract the attack. If you show the devil he's not going to win he'll back off.

Unfortunately, sometimes spending time at CF is the unproductive thing. There have been a lot of times I have experienced that, and more than one person has posted something to the effect of, "I should be doing my taxes since it's 11:30 on April 15th and I haven't finished them yet, but I just had to post (some meaningless thing in one of the game threads)."

We've probably ALL used CF to avoid doing things we should have done.
