Thanks for the input. Unfortunately, I don't consider being off a medication an option while pregnant. I was pregnant once before when younger. Did not take medications at that time, and slipped into a severe manic state with the pregnancy hormones involved. I'm sad to say that things ended very very badly, and I lost the baby due to it. I have obsessively searched the web, and talked to both my OBGYN and Psychiatrist about my options, and we both feel the risk will be just as great for me and the baby if I don't take anything. My husband agrees.
It appears that Seroquel is quite safe, and low risk during pregnancy. That, along with a couple other antipsychotics that have been around a little longer. I won't be taking anything other than that. The mood stabilizers are what is very risky. So that will be added in down the road if the Seroquel alone doesn't cut it.
