*slowly fades in and bows slightly* hello and welcome all, allow me to introduce myself. my name is Senkaku, the host of this wonderful and beautiful place. *a purple eagle flies by*...haha, yes, that happens here...*a cup of tea appears in my hand* I only ask that you have fun here in the amazing world of creativity *takes a sip of tea*...let the Illusions begin...

I thought about answering this thread sooner, but I thought I was just imagining it.

haha, welcome...*a cat appears and plays with a ball of yarn* uh oh, seems like we have some cats coming

I'm going to put melatonin on their catnip!

 

[Senkaku]

*cat plays with catnip for a little bit, then walks around groggy before passing out*

 

[LaSorcia]

Yells, "WAKE UP NOW CAT!"

 

[Senkaku]

*cat wakes up swiftly and shakes her head before rubbing against your legs and meowing*

 

[Quid est Veritas?]

*The Cat says: "You may have noticed I am not all there myself", before disappearing except for its grin.

 

[Senkaku]

Senkaku: "it seems you found this cat's secret, allow me to introduce another" *snaps his fingers causing a monkey wearing a blue baseball cap to appear*

Senkaku:"play nice..."

*the monkey scratches his butt and throws a rock at @LaSorcia and @Quid est Veritas? *

 

[LaSorcia]

LaSorcia grabs the monkey by the tail and spins it around three times before launching it out the window.

"We'll have none of that here"!

 

[Senkaku]

Senkaku:"haha, I take it you aren't one for any funny monkey business. Maybe you prefer something more bright and colorful..."

*senkaku snaps his fingers changing the landscape into a fantasy candy land*

Senkaku:"Try the strawberry clouds, they are delicious."

 

[Quid est Veritas?]

Um, wrong audience. I just tried to get her to eat some Pecan Pie, but was shot down.

Rather change the landscape into monotonous fields of kale with an odd turnip here and there.

 

[Senkaku]

Senkaku:"hmm...as you wish..."

*draws a line with his index finger and creates another room with the landscape requested, then tries a turnip himself*

Senkaku:"hmm, not bad..."

 

[LaSorcia]

"They're best with a honey cilantro glaze and as a side to toad-in-the-hole. I've heard pecan pie makes a good dessert after".

 

[Senkaku]

Senkaku:"that sounds lovely, perhaps you could show us how it's done..."

*waves his hand to create a kitchen in front of @LaSorcia *

 

[LaSorcia]

"I never cook alone..."

 

[Senkaku]

Senkaku:"then allow me to assist you, you only need to guide me."

*grabs some ingredients*

 

[LaSorcia]

LaSorcia gets out the Magical Cookbook and looks through it. "Let's see: Invisibility Potion, Magic Pizza, Unicorn Meat... ARRRGH"!
LaSorcia hurries and hides the Magical Cookbook from @Senkaku.

 

[Senkaku]

*smirks slightly*

Senkaku:"seems like you don't know what you're doing."

 

[Quid est Veritas?]

What does that book say on cooking Phoenix? Do you have to keep killing the bird? Does it spring alive again on the counter or does it need heat to do so?
Or is it reborn from the stove while you are cooking its carcass?

Maybe it cooks itself? Maybe the flesh spontaneously set alight, giving it an even cook each time you kill it. It would be a bit gross eating birdflesh only to have it resurrect itself, though.
