I think you are just supposed to assume outrage and disagreement go hand in hand. You are supposed to imagine the outrage that you are supposed to assume exists rather than need to have it actually displayed in front of you before being convinced it exists.

Some of Burr’s GOP colleagues, however, were eager to offer complaints that the Intelligence Committee is still working its probe weeks after special counsel Robert Mueller’s report was released.... Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), who is close to Donald Trump Jr.[,] “This is a great sort of assault on someone, in the sense that you put yourself in jeopardy anytime you come in and testify.”

“This is one great big politicized, political football,” said Sen. Steve Daines (R-Mont.), another Trump Jr. ally. He described broad GOP “frustration on what’s going on at the moment. It’s time to move on from these investigations.”

Others were harsher. Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) called Burr's move “beyond inappropriate” and acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney said it was “bad form” not to give the president a heads-up.

Perhaps to see, one needs to open the eyes and look?

I'm sure the response will be that those are merely thoughtful and sober criticism of poor Jr. being unfairly asked to testify instead of "outrage".

I also expect an allusion to me not poating 10 different links instead of just the one like I did.

Because if you think those quotes mean that they are outraged, I doubt you have seen someone who is really outraged.

Well, if the GOP had any kind of consistency or cohesion, Donald would have never been able to hijack it and turn it into his cult of personality.

I've said before, Donald is not the problem, he's a symptom.

I was initially hoping that this would be the trigger for my schadenfreude to grow three sizes in one day, but if his testimony is going to be limited and behind closed doors, I'm less optimistic.

Not everyone cusses a blue streak on camera or for attribution. That is pretty much how I and people I know express outrage - perhaps we WASPs tend to understate such things. I guess people tend to judge such matters by their own norms.
