Other countries deciding who USA has in power.
No evidence foreign governments are bribing voters to vote a certain way. I know we strong will other countries to vote in who we like but that usually fails as well. We tried it in Brexit and in Israel and a few years ago both America and EU tried to persuade the Greek electorate to not vote in Syriza party. They failed in every attempt, so what innovative power do the Russians have that made them succeed?

....and as one would expect, Trump attacks his own intelligence agency in response:

"These are the same people that said Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction," the Trump camp said in an unsigned statement slamming the CIA.

....

Trump himself likewise rejected suggestions of Russian manipulation earlier this week in his "Person of the Year" interview with Time. "I don't believe it. I don't believe they interfered," he said, postulating that intelligence agents who say otherwise are politically motivated.

Trump fires back at Russia election manipulation reports

Will Trump ask for a list of CIA employees who contributed to the CIA report?

He's right. You can tell me what intelligence agencies say until you're blue in the face. Where is the evidence?

And the obvious question is....should it have been kept secret?
.

CIA investigations are often closed to the public.
The FBI is obligated to reveal much more of it's work.

Yet again, this information might lead anyone to draw a particular conclusion, but we’re still lacking the smoking gun. The intelligence official putting this story out there went so far as to say that they “do not have specific intelligence showing officials in the Kremlin ‘directing’ the identified individuals to pass the Democratic emails to WikiLeaks.” They describe the people passing the documents to Wikileaks as being “one step removed” from the Russian government. But even if we are to assume that the Russian government was directly involved, there’s one more item missing from these revelations and that’s some shred of evidence saying that the Kremlin wanted Donald Trump to win and that was the motivation for their actions. That may be the conclusion that some in the agency have reached, but if they have anything to back it up they’re not providing it.

So the CIA is pretty sure the Russians wanted Trump to win - Hot Air

If the investigation is classified, the press shouldn't even be mentioning it. They're not even supposed to know about it. Its leaking to the press would itself be a serious OPSEC violation.

Wondering what the Russians were thinking. Did they not know that the very leaks that would get Trump elected would also delegitimize him? Someone wasn't using their head.

Hard to believe that Russian intelligence is that inept.
Yes but It does not matter. A delegitimised President leading a weak and inept American govt would count as a big win for Russia.

They are free to reveal anything they know.
If they know, then "secret" is a marketing ploy
to get you to post about it.

All evidence is that he does. And he has been elected.

Do you blame him? Trump has expressed that he will make a good faith effort to work with him. We can't say the same about Clinton...

The CIA assessment cites no facts, certainly nothing that could be described as evidence. Do remember that this is the same CIA that said that Iraq under Saddam Hussein had a nuclear weapons program...

Thank you Mr Trump..........do try to be original.....

And Obama tried to make Netanyahu lose the Israeli elections by interfering in their internal politics. And we got involved in the Brexit vote to try to persuade the Uk to remain and failed. Now what did the Russians actually do to help Trump win?
Did they insert subliminal messaging in movies and television?
Did they pay off millions of voters?
How did they accomplish what the CIA is insinuating? Is there some powerful Russian Ngo's operating in America fostering protests and uprisings?

Settle down. The conclusion is that the Russians infiltrated the computer files of the Democratic Party and released them to Julian Assange's group for publication, in the attempt to discredit Mrs Clinton.

The troubling aspect is that the relevant security committee knew about these findings before the election, but chose to keep quiet about it until now. Given that less than a 1% reversal in votes in the critical states would have given a different result, who knows whether this played a part?

That election machines can be hacked were rumored for months. Why weren't these machines secured? Is your "real news" source telling you that Russians hacked into 3 or 4 swing states election machines but left the rest alone? Or did they hack into something else? Or did the Russian government pay for pro-Trump television commercials in swing states? Are they saying millions of democratic voters took payments from the Russian government to vote for Trump and change the outcome?

Again, settle down. This report says nothing about "election machines". Your imagination is running away...
