Second-hand/Charity Shops

I found a great way to get vintage/unusual knitting patterns and such like, wools and equipment too! Lots of other craft stuff too.

Charity shops are full of little gems. My daughter spent most of Saturday trying to drag me away!

Plus, by buying at charity shops, you know the money is going to good causes.

I've tried finding crafty stuff at secondhand stores and it's nuts, can't find anything! Maybe I'll have better luck this time!

I LOVE going to almost any sort of 2nd hand shop.

I have some nice stuff, and some not so nice stuff (furniture I havent refinished yet) that Im proud of from things like that.

Yep, I agree. It is a great way of recycling too. I have a friend who buys a lot of wool from charity shops. We have managed to find a few pieces of a dinner service which is no longer made in charity shops.

Car boot sales here are usually held on a Sunday morning and that's when we are in church. We haven't been to a car boot sale in years but my mother has got loads of bargains from them.

A really good idea, is to go & get items in the colors you like, and redo them in the styles you like.
