Saturn is associated with Chronos, who is the symbolic guardian of time -- the keeper of time or "Father Time" often pictured as an exceeding elderly man with a long beard and an hourglass (and sometimes a scythe). As the keeper of time Chronos is also associated with the figure of the Reaper which can indicate either Harvest or Death. Chronos was also known as Aion or Aeon and was considered the ruler of the ages in the Greek mythos. Ananke (inevitability) was his mate. In certain occult traditions the planetary intelligence of Saturn/Chronos is associated with "Karma" or the idea of Judgment -- one's spiritual bill coming due and the fruition of what one has "sown" being "reaped."
These symbols, while coming from Graeco-Roman mythology, are fairly pertinent to the Second Coming. In Revelation 14:14-16, Jesus is pictured as the one with the sickle who is ready to reap the earth:
14 I looked, and there before me was a white cloud, and seated on the cloud was one "like a son of man" with a crown of gold on his head and a sharp sickle in his hand. 15 Then another angel came out of the temple and called in a loud voice to him who was sitting on the cloud, "Take your sickle and reap, because the time to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is ripe." 16 So he who was seated on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth, and the earth was harvested.
Jesus' Second Coming will be the end of TIME as we know it for this planet, hence the association with "father Time" and the old man figure (who is often used to symbolise the end of the old year as the new year baby is used to symbolise the beginning of the new). Jesus' Second Coming also inaugurates the Judgment, the time at which everyone's time will be up ("there should be time no longer" - Rev. 10:6) and all "spiritual bills" will be due at once and paid justly by the Father and our Lord.
Last but not least the planet Saturn corresponds to the day Saturday, which from ancient times has been the memorial of fiat ex nihilo Creation by the spoken Word of God. In Eden this day was "blessed and hallowed" as a time of rest (Gen 2:3) and memorialized for all time and eternity (Matthew 5:17-19) as such in the 4th of the 10 commandments (Exodus 20:8-11)

In Revelation it is spoken that the first of the final three messages of God's mercy to this world prior to Jesus' Return involves a call to acknowledge Him specifically AS the Creator:

So yes, in a very heavy multi-faceted symbolic sense, the planet Saturn does relate a great deal to the Second Coming.
