Why be concerned about our own actions for preperation for after death when it's right here and now that God needs to be made alive in this life time where He is needed the most. I don't believe it's our "actions" that matter, though actions happen as a result of our heart felt love and compassion for those people who are in need...like the poor, the elderly, the children, those with no food or water or roof over their heads. Why do you think some will be lost even though God wants to save us all? It is what we do that matters. Our actions in this life will be fulfilled in the next.
I have a lot of respect for ArchaicTruth, he's a thinker and seeker. He makes me think and seak. My response was triggered because ArchaicTruth, in his usual searching ways, was looking towards death to find truth. That doesn't make sense to me. I don't believe one needs to die to find truth...I feel that one needs to live life to find truth. I don't believe that a person can truly know Jesus either unless we live life with a heart filled with Love and Compassion and the need to help others in need. In that, it seems to me that a person can find Truth...and all with out dying.
