You can't do that, covert 'a Sabbath day' into Jewish feast days. A Sabbath day is simply any Sabbath day no matter when it occurs.

Once again, the Colossians became Christians, the Colossians did not become Jews.

I am not doing that---that is what God calls them and I already posted those verses where He calls them that. And I know they did not become Jews, there were Jews there with the Colossians, there were both Jews and pagans.

But Paul says 'a Sabbath day' in the letter to the Colossians. Paul does not say Sabbath feast years or Sabbath feast days.

No Paul does not say that---He says sabbath days--which is the same for feast days. OK--now it is your turn to say no--and then it will be my turn to say ---no--and then it will be your turn again to say no and then it will be my turn and then...…….

The text does not mention anything about Jews among the Christians at Colossia. That is something that you have assumed.

OK--I feel it is best to take Rev and Daniel together--the 10 horns being mentioned in both.
Dan_7:24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.
These 2 are the same--

The Roman Empire was never conquered--there were 10 tribes of Europe from the east of Rome that decimated it. Three of those tribes disappeared. The remaining 10 tribes became 10 heads of Europe.
Don't forget the Olivet Discourse.
Daniel is only mentioned in Matthew 24:15 and Mark 13:14 of the NT

THE Abomination of Desolation

AN Abomination of Desolation

The Olivet Discourse and Revelation is 1st century Jerusalem.........
I would be happy to discuss this over on this thread

Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21 harmonized

Matthew 24:15
15 "Whenever then ye may be seeing the abomination of the desolation<2050>, the being declared thru Daniel the Prophet having-stood in a place, holy (the one-reading/anaginwskwn <314> (5723) let him be minding/understanding/noeitw <3539> (5720)"
16 then those in Judea — let them be fleeing! into the mountains
;

Mark 13:14
Whenever yet ye may be seeing see the abomination of the desolation<2050>, the one being declared by Daniel the prophet, having stood the-where not it is binding, (the one reading/anaginwskwn <314> (5723) let him be understanding!/noeitw <3539> (5720),
Then those in Judea, let them be fleeing into the mountains

Luke 21:
20 Whenever yet may be seeing the Jerusalem surrounded by war-troops, then be knowing that come nigh the desolating<2050> of Her [Revelation 18:19]
21 then those in Judea, let them be fleeing into the mountains;
and those in her midst, let them depart out; and those in the countries, let them not come in to her
;

Revelation 1:3
Happy/blessed the one reading/ana-ginwskwn <314> (5723) and the ones hearing the words of the prophecy and keepings the in it having been written
for the time nigh.

Revelation 18:19
And they cast dust upon their heads and cried-out, weeping and mourning, saying "Woe! Woe! the great City, wherein all were made rich, that had ships at sea, by reason of her prices.
That to one hour She was desolated<2049>.

Col 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
Col 2:17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

Depends which translation your using, better still, it depends on which translation Ellen White was using.

Is that KJV?

It is something one can assume by the wording of the text. If he wasn't referencing Jewish feasts---why then say that they were a shadow of things to come---certainly the pagan feast days did not carry that designation].

You are the only one mentioning her. Are you a believer?

The interlinear simply says, 'sabbaths'.

Paul is using strictly Jewish phrases in this verse (Colossians 2:16).

2 Chronicles 8:13
And did so according to the daily rule, offering them up according to the commandment of Moses, for the sabbaths, the new moons and the three annual feasts

Notice the first phrase, 'the Sabbaths'.

Surely you are aware of these three Jewish phrases that Paul repeats in Colossians 2:16?

still doesn't read THE SABBATH.
Chronicles 31:3
He also appointed the king’s portion of his goods for the burnt offerings, namely, for the morning and evening burnt offerings, and the burnt offerings for the sabbaths and for the new moons and for the fixed festivals

This is a common statement that Paul is quoting and word for word. Once again, 'the sabbaths'!

Yes--the sabbaths were more than the 3 annual feasts.

Ezekiel 45:17
It shall be the prince’s part to provide the burnt offerings, the grain offerings and the drink offerings, at the feasts, on the new moons and on the sabbaths

Any translation if it is worth anything, should have used 'the sabbaths'.
