Might wanna get that checked.....
I would let you dope slap me from Brownsville to Amarillo if necessary, SIS. I just returned from er, ah, um, 6 months 'sabbatical'. (Don't push it!! I have a nasty sarcastic streak down my back the size of Texas. I have been dinged by the mods for it several times.
Not to mention that this sect also believes that Earth is literally 6,000 years old as well as the fact they hold to soul sleep and annihilation, which does not really scare me at all like the Biblical eternal conscious torment does. This is because that SDAs (as well as JWs, Armstrongnites, and even some evangelicals, like Mario from The Vigilant Christian YouTube Channel) believe that when people did they have absolutely no awareness or conciousness. Then, when Jesus returns, He will totally annihilate the wicked, their body and soul will cease to exsist forever.SDA is Seventh-day Adventist
It is a legalistic Christian denomination (not a cult) whose main difference is they keep the 4th commandment keeping the Sabbath from sundown Friday to sundown Saturday. They also keep the dietary laws of Leviticus 11, so they don't eat pork or shellfish, and most don't even eat meat at all and are just vegetarians, some even vegans. It is also a holiness denomination and don't wear jewelry or makeup, though they allow diamond studded watches. No tobacco, alchohol, movies, playing cards, or dancing.
In the early days of the denomination which came out of the Millerites movement, a young woman named Ellen G. White had visions, and became the demonination's prophetess. Her writings are obeyed and called the Spirit of Prophecy.

What verses support annihalationCorrect. Except just over 6,000---I take it you are one of those that prefer to have your grandmother and grandchild and loved ones that do not make it burn forever?? What did they do to you that requires such an action?
I mean where in the bible does it say they have to "work off" or however u want to put it...sins?

It's implied.
Luke 12:7 And that servant who knew his master’s will, and did not prepare himself or do according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. 48 But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.
Is it wise to base a doctrine off implications?
Here is the verse in question.Again--it doesn't read THE SABBATH --it reads sabbath days--that is what the feasts were ---sabbaths.
ev 16:29 And this shall be a statute for ever unto you: that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, ye shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger that sojourneth among you:
Lev 16:31 It shall be a sabbath of rest unto you, and ye shall afflict your souls, by a statute for ever.
Lev_23:24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.
Lev_23:32 It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath.
Lev_23:39 Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath.
Lev_25:2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a sabbath unto the LORD.
Lev_25:4 But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto the land, a sabbath for the LORD: thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard.
Lev_25:6 And the sabbath of the land shall be meat for you; for thee, and for thy servant, and for thy maid, and for thy hired servant, and for thy stranger that sojourneth with thee,
Here is the verse in question.
Colossians 2:16
Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day, things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ.
You claim that the phrase, 'a Sabbath day', refers to feasts. You have a serious problem with your interpretation. The Colossians were not under the law of Moses in the first place. So how could someone judge the Colossians, regarding Jewish feasts, when the Colossians did not practice those feasts?
Jews arrived after Abraham.God didn't create Jews! He created a man and a woman. The Jews didn't come along until Abraham. There was no death in Eden--Adam and Eve were vegetarians along with all the animals. That was the original diet and we will go back to that after the resurrection.
Jews arrived after Abraham.
Your post does not make any sense. And who do you claim are the Colossians? They were Jews and pagans that had converted. The pagans also had many feast days--they were in danger of incorporating both Jewish sabbath's and pagan festivals into their worship. Also
Col 2:17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
The Sabbath was never a shadow of things to come---it always pointed backward to creation. To the creator of all.
Exo 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
OT and NTI never said that!! They do not work off sins--they pay for them and are destroyed! Quite twisting what I say!
2Co_11:15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
Rev_20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, accorjavascript:void(null);ding to their works.
Rev_20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
Here is what you said.God didn't create Jews! He created a man and a woman. The Jews didn't come along until Abraham. There was no death in Eden--Adam and Eve were vegetarians along with all the animals. That was the original diet and we will go back to that after the resurrection.
Abraham was not a Jew.The Jews didn't come along until Abraham.
Your post does not make any sense.
The Colossians were not celebrating Jewish feasts, no one could judge the Colossians concerning Jewish feasts.
Your interpretation is in serious trouble.
Colossians 2:16
Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day
You need to read the text!
Here is what you said.
Abraham was not a Jew.
