Why wouldn't people believe it?I was hoping people would go research and find that, so thanks. I would imagine most people who see this thread title would not believe it to begin with.
Well, Opus Dei has a reputation, and Hahn is so mainstream and accepted by a lot of Catholics. The group is really small too, so eh, just my gut feeling. I know I was surprised. Why wouldn't people believe it?
You have a problem with the OP?Are members of Opus Dei supposed to go round with a label hanging round their neck telling everyone ?
Are they supposed to feature that bit of knowledge in everything they write ?
Does the fact that he is in Opus Dei affect other people ?
I read his book. It's fascinating.I was talking to someone about Opus Dei recently
I've never been called sundry before. I'll have to go look that up and see if I'm offended. At the risk of sounding like Captain Obvious, he wrote a book about his experience fergodsake. Back off.I've no problem with Opus Dei - I knew a Doctor who was part of it.
I jut don't see why folk seem to think it has to be proclaimed to all and sundry
It's an English idiom. As in all or everyone - "I didn't want my personal business known to all and sundry."I've never been called sundry before. I'll have to go look that up and see if I'm offended. I know exactly what sundry means. It was sarcasm. Sarcasm is an art form. As for your question, it depends on who you talk to.It's an English idiom. As in all or everyone - "I didn't want my personal business known to all and sundry."
Is Opus Dei a negative connotation on a good Catholic? Curiosity of an outsider.

Opus Dei has been accused of being very controlling and being cult-like. It's also been said that while it's voluntary to join and leave, leaving is made very difficult. http://abcnews.go.com/US/story?id=93081&page=1It's an English idiom.
