I've seen it. It's been quite a while, but I've seen it. And here are my thoughts.

If you are a Christian, the film has many fantastic points to make, because it's meant to illustrate the hypocrisy found among Christians, both in High School and in the church. The character of Hillary Faye is believed by many to be the most devout believer in the entire film by many people, but under closer examination, her christianity has reached the level where she performs her actions to be noticed by other people as this wonderful Christian girl, and it's not really evident she's acting out of personal convictions at all. If you believe Hillary Faye undergoes a transformation towards the end of the film, and fail to see that she never really had pure motives from the very beginning, you can gain a whole new perspective.

The bottom line is, if Christianity was only a system of cans and cant's, dos and don'ts, then Hillary Faye is the picture of perfection. But it's not.

The ending of the film (which I won't spoil here) ruins it for many people, but if you look at it as the tragic consequence of a person exposed to and put off by the falsehoods of fake people all their lives, it can be instead turned into a motivator for yourself never to be a fake person so that you may never inspire the same feelings in anyone.

I don't know who their "informant on how Christians act" was, but they went a bit overboard...I mean, surely there are not people who act like that...e.g. "quick, lets all break out in spontaneous laughter so she thinks that Christians can have fun...ahahaha"...yeah, that's definitely how Christians are...

Okay, so I was just wondering if anyone had seen the indie film Saved! with Mandy Moore. I was wondering what you thought and such. Let me know! :-D
I love the indy films, I thought of this one to shed a negative light on christianity though...Not a rare thing at the movies these days. It had some funny scenes though.
