Where did Jesus say that he wanted to be executed by the Romans for sedition and claiming to be the Jewish king because of the sins of mankind? If so, then surely Judas would be the first to be saved.

Then quote the bible text which says that Jesus wanted to be executed for sedition and claiming to be the Jewish king because of the sins of mankind? Afterall he even unsuccessfully asked for help from his god when he was being executed but didn't say that it was for the sins of mankind (Matt 27:46).

It's your story, not mine. But either way, it didn't help Moses or Noah or Abraham or David etc since they never went to heaven (John 3:13) even though David was his god's begotten son (Psalm 2:7).

Hello all,

Thank you in advance for sharing your thoughts and ideas on this question.

Can a person know that Christ is the true Son of God and died for the sins of mankind and yet not be saved?

To my current understanding, one is [required] to not only 1.) believe it true; but to 2.) repent and 3.) worship.

All three seem required, again under the tenets of the Christian claim(s). Morals are basically arbitrary for many reasons. Mainly because, aside from the 3 stated actions above, you have the following two scenarios:

A) One could implement the 3 characteristics above, which may not be rendered moral attributes, but more-so amoral attributes - as you cannot really control a belief. Further, you will still lie, cheat, steal, commit adultery, trespass, etc., as you are a believer.

B) On the contrary, you could somehow not lie, cheat, steal, commit adultery, trespass, etc., and if you do not possess the three, namely belief for starters - (belief, repent, worship), you are doomed regardless.

In the end, the act of being 'saved', under the umbrella of Christianity, stems more from amoral actions, verses any 'moral' or 'immoral' actions (i.e.) choice. Hence, Christianity appears to represent 'morals' as arbitrary.
