Lower levels of education are associated with increased risks of heart failure
ewww --

I'd hate to see what higher education adversely does --

WOW! Every AV1611VET cliche in one post!
What does a person do when they want to read and take the Bible literally?

They must cut themselves and their children off from all science education in the hope that if they don't understand it science will have no meaning for them, they can then tell themselves that what the Bible tells them is the way things came to be as they are, in other words they are taking 'ignorance is bliss' to the extreme and damaging themselves and their loved ones in the process.

That might be the way you would do it, but I certainly wouldn't.

We have seen what ignorance does.

You realize that those responsible for the above were the most highly educated people of their time. The cause for the above was not ignorance but the will to power and control.

I couldn't agree more; and wanted to see if Belk would change his stance.

These guys use the word 'ignorance' like it's some kind of point.

Using it is like bringing a jackknife to a double-edged sword fight.

Ignorance of what?

(Please answer this.)

Ignorance of reality.

Being educated does not mean one is not ignorant. Although those people were considered educated for their time they were still very ignorant of reality. However I do agree with you that ignorance was not the sole cause of the horrendous things they did.

The cause was a combination of ignorance and having power and control. These where people who believed that crushing people to death with large rocks was a good way to convert people from other religions. Ever read the Malleus Maleficarum? Malleus Maleficarum Index

Say the guy who believes that living in a imperfect world somehow repudiates science.

That the end never justifies the means. That burning people alive in the name of God is an atrocity.
How about burning people alive and calling it 'abortion'?
