I wouldn't be so concerned with how satan operates. Keep your eyes on the victor, not the enemy. Satan was disarmed on the cross, you don't need to worry about him.
This is foolish confidence, even if your intentions weren't so. Isn't it written:
"Since the children have flesh and blood, he (the Father) too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death --that is, the devil--" (Hebrews 2:14-15)?
So doesn't this scripture testify that Satan holds the power of death? Why, then, would you say, "don't be concerned with how satan operates?" Don't you know that it was prophecied that Satan would lead the whole world astray, and that it has happened?
"The great dragon was hurled down--that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled down to the earth, and his angels with him." Revelation 12:9
Since, then, you believe you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. (For man, this sounds impossible, but with God, everything is possible. If God has given you the holy spirit, you no longer live to please the desires of the flesh, and you have died to the Law that Moses brought and obey the old covenant automatically. So pray to God for the latter rain; the holy spirit. Pray that you will be brought to His holy mountain, Zion, the city of His festivals. Pray for these things.)
Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. Now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.
My teaching is not my own. It comes from him who sent me. If anyone chooses to do God's will, he will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own.
