God has a mark, a Holy Ghost born again Christian that is 100% committed to the Word.
The mark of the beast has one objective that is to derail the Christian unto destruction . The beast (devil) being a spirit does not find its fulfillment in a physical manifestation but any manifestation is designed for his purpose of destruction of God's moving. The reference to the head and hand simply signify a mental participation and a practical participation in the workings of the mark. The beast and his purpose/mark has been on this earth as long as man has been on earth. The first manifestation of the workings of the mark is when the serpent said to Eve 'hast God said?' Pulling Eve off God's Word to lead her to his side of destruction and death. The children of Israel are God's people being led by God to raise them up in His Word. The mark goes to work and causes them to desire a king as the other nations, thereby rejecting God's headship. The same is true today. The Word says such and such but the mark draws people to question God's Word by saying it is not applicable but instead it replaces God's Word and says 'surely thou shalt not die, I'll show you a better way'.
